Collingwood!!!

The greatest club of all is now the most successful of all.

16 premierships (equal top) however more wins and better head to head than the other clubs.

What a great season. The elation when we won the flag was indescribable.

I'm so proud to be a supporter of the Magpies.

Good old Collingwood forever

I had done this ladder last year - couldn't wait to update it!

It's ordered by Premierships, followed by Grand Final appearances. To me, that is the second most successful you can be, and ranks us ahead of Essendon and Carlton.

I think it's fair to consider GF's played as percentage in this situation

Speaking of percentages , two things stand out:

- Hawthorn and Melbourne's conversion rate 🤤

- when you're feeling down , there's always St Kilda

Nope, it was one hell of a roost.

On Offsiders yesterday they had Luke Ball on and he said he was sitting in the stand with Nick Maxwell and Nathan Buckley and that the 3 of them all said no way can Sidey kick this, never kicked one from 55 out.

We all know what happened next.

Didn't he kick one from 50 metres out to win the game against North Melbourne last year?
I was up the other end and didn't have a great view of the distance.

When was the last time Sidey put one through half post high from 55? Adrenaline gave him another 10 - 15m on that kick. We'll never forget it
As Fly always says, it's about the moments.
Jordy's goal from Nick's handball, and Sidey from downtown.
I'm sure we all went up as one for both of those moments, not to mention the final siren.

I'm watching the replay, and you notice things that you miss in the heat of the moment.
Tom Mitchell's game was great, putting aside stats and just watching.
For example, our second goal was a direct result of him knocking the ball out of a Brisbane player's hands and forward in a contest.
I don't know if he got a stat for that, but he did that sort of thing all game.
Pendles directing traffic in the last quarter - he will make a great coach.
Unlike Bucks, after he retires, he will go elsewhere to hone his craft and return to coach the Pies in due course.
That won't be for a while though, and if he can keep playing the way he did in the granny, he could go beyond next season.
And Fly will be the coach for as long as he wants to.

I'll be feeling that warm glow for a long time yet!
Floreat Pica!!

That being said, I was in the mood to give it to Brissy fans/oppos who showed us no such grace in years prior.

However when sneaking into the G for the presentation I saw a younger kid crying and his dad and couldn't help but console them with a quick few words, having felt their disappointment back in 2018. There's a time and a place for everything :)

The '22 & '23 C'wood teams are viewed as different.

We too should change perceptions of Collingwood fans one classy act at a time.

Thank you.

Just get rid of the bounce. The anti climax at the very start of the game and the 50% of the other times they stuff it up takes all the wind out of the game

100%

The only negative about taking it away is that it gives me 1 less thing to curse the umps about.

Throwing the ball up has the added benefit of making rucks jump up instead of at each other as they do when the ball is bounced.

Having to be at work now has killed my buzz. Now I'm just sad it's over. What a weekend that was.
I feel that same feeling as when Christmas is over when you're a kid.

I already miss footy! Can't wait for next season to start.

Also can't wait to get home today and watch the replay again!

Just need to add Naics to this photo - the Past Master - the Current Master and the Emerging Master: What a treat to have witnessed the continuing passing of the baton from one superstar to another. Feel lucky to see this era.
Sounds like a welcome to country - we pay our respects to masters, past, present and emerging lol

I have never felt the desire to rub salt into the wound of opposition supporters when we win a flag but sadly the same can't be said of opposition supporters when we have lost.

Will played with such passion and aggression in this final series. I am so happy for him.
Will has a habit of popping up to take an important mark when we are trying to ice the clock for a close win. He did it in the GF and also against GWS, if I'm remembering correctly.
