Truth is stranger than fiction. I get back from voting, a guy knocks at the door to install gov funded door shields for blocking the draft, to reduce energy costs. He sees my lounge room decked out in collingwood flags balloons. Says he gor a free tick to the granny said it was awesome. Says he is Ugandan of Pakistani heritage. We talk about the cricket, he tells me about tonight's game Pakistan v India, I tell him about 92 and south Africa needing 22 off 1 ball the greatest rigging of all time to put England through to world cup final. He walks off with a greater appreciation of imran khan and I lean against the sink thinking what will it take to get jamara.

You know what I find most interesting..in the first qtr, the commentators talking about specific Lions players looking cooked, exhausted, affected by the heat, on the bench with the ice pack, affected by the sun..

Hilarious to listen to when there was so much talk prior to the game about how the weather was going to affect us the most.

I was comparing the 2023 premiership side to the 2010 side and random things I noticed that I found interesting:

• Brent Macaffer was the only 2010 player that didnt end up reaching 100 AFL games
• Macaffer and Chris Dawes were the only players that didn't reach 150 games
• 13 of the 22 2010 premiership players played over 200 games in their careers
