You can't question Thomas' effort this year, he's been one of our better players but gees those easy misses are killers.
I really wonder what the answer is here. Those two misses were just embarrassingly bad. I'm sure they deflated his team-mates as much as the fans. But you can't drop a player whose effort and intensity has been as godd as Thomas' this year.

What's the answer? Play him on the wing, and hope that he is mostly passing to forwards, rather than trying to convert shots at goal?

Tell him to 'play on' whenever he has a set shot?

Have Petrie or someone give him a lead just inside 50 when he has a set shot from 15?

:confused::confused::confused:

Answer

Milky Warren.

He has had his time in purgatory and surely is fired up enough to take an over head mark in 2012 and stay on his feet?

Silly thread... You lost me when you said i don't care about VFL form. If this is the case why have VFL. Daw is not upto it and may never be. Playing him now will shatter his confidence and harm his development. Play blokes who are tearing up VFL like milky

I tend to agree.

I definitely agree. It's time we started rewarding performance instead of potential.

Playing him in the backline or on the wing sounds good, and I reckon they should fit him with some sought of ankle bracelet that gives him an electric shock every time he crosses the forward 50m arc.

Never said bring in Daw and not Milky. Bring in Milky too I agree with that, but I have seen 2 of Majaks games this year and has played well in both. Just jumps straight over opposition ruckman as if they are a joke and runs around better than Goldy or Hmac who are both pathetic at the moment. When you have played VFL for a long period of time like Daw has shorly form is harder to gauge. I mean Im sure he's played some top footy, but is bound to have a few average ones along the way just like our whole 22 today. Mick Malthouse rates him so he must be doing something right.

I have watched a few games too (not just highlights reals) he has amazing ability but for every good thing he does he makes two mistakes. I strongly believe that he is developing fine at vfl level and one day could be a gun running ruckman......but we are kidding ourselves if we believe he would be more beneficial than hmac or goody ATM. Persist with our rucks and if daw develops trade one at years end

Hamish isn't going to be out for the year.Only one weeker. And Majak didn't play vfl at all this week.
Yes Werribee really missed Majak. I hope he is OK.

And on a slightly different topic, I have to pass comment on some of the nastiness on this forum. Poor old Majak gets a raw deal from some of you guys. In turn when a Majak supporter like myself voices his support for the great man, some of you have the tendency to name call that poster and question his credibility. Well I think that is uncalled for. Pull your heads in idiots.

Think I got an Aquired Brain Injury reading some of this thread.

Facebook invades Bigfooty.

I haven't seen Daw live, only highlights, so not as equipped to comment. But from my perspective, I don't see how he could be ahead of Goldstein, HMac or Pedersen. And don't think you could seriously suggest he be given a KP spot. That said, we have played Tarrant more than once this season, and the goal post added more value.

It seems to me he will only crack the seniors when two of HMac, Goldstein or Pedersen are injured or retired. Either that, or his form warrants it.

That said, the Majak is not good enough, may never be, you're stupid for even considering it, view is typical BF pretentiousness and highly annoying. He clearly has ability, and let's hope he can crack the seniors one day.

im getting sick of these threads being started by people who have only seen majs highlights. I have seen maj play almost all his games for werribee the kid isnt ready to be thrown into the afl if we were to do that we would ruin the kid, so how about people just be patient go down have a look at him play for werribee and see where he is at. He will play for north but it will be in time when he is ready to take the next step

Oh yeah what an over reaction buddy. Like what an over reaction it is to play a 6 ft 6 bloke who can run like a gazzell and jump like Spud Webb. I think the END OF THE ROAD FOR BRAD SCOTT thread is a bit more of an over reaction and the 200 odd posters that agreed with it is even more of a concern. It should atleast be considered. 16 of our 22 at the moment have no form. Sometimes it's not about form it's about a club taking a risk. A risk that has way more upside than downside. Risks are something that North Melbourne has struggled to do for 11 years on and off the field.

You're right. The club turning down rivers of AFL gold to remain at Arden St and go it alone was a walk in the park.

If we keep serving up that shit pie like we did yesterday then i say bring Majak in !!

mainly because if we do keep playing like that we will never make finals and supporters will drop off in droves due to the underperforming....

Bring him in and hope to generate alot of media hype to get more members or people to games and pray to god he can play like a sudanese warrior !

Nothing to lose in my opinion ......

ps: anyone claiming Lindsay should be dropped deserves to be dropped themselves, on their heads, from a great height .... stupidity

It would have been more of a risk to take them opportunities than to stay at Arden Street IMHO, but in saying that I don't disagree with it.

If jumping off the west gate is a risk, then yeah, I suppose.

I live in Adelaide and after yesterday my partner and I are considering not even going to AAMI stadium or even watching the game on t.v. And that's a big deal for me to say that because I take every opportunity I can get normally to see us play. Unfortunately my last 2 visits to melbourne I have left really shattered. Essendon round 1 this year and Richmond Etihad early last season. If Majak played especially at home It would generate a lot of possitive interest and I would be a certainty to go AAMI this week. I have forgiven Lindsay Thomas misses because he is having a red hot go.

If I put Majaks VFL highlights up against Goldies and HMACS AFL ones I know which ones I would be watching again thats for sure. I have seen 2 full games not highlights and He shows no more than what our current soft combination show. I know it won't happen of course it wont, but It should and It irritates me that people are so negative about something they have not tried. Like how on earth do you know nathanr for absolute 100% certain that he won't perform at AFL level. The only fact is you don't know. I don't Know. Nobody does. That's part of the excitement.

****. If promotion issues are worked out (they can't be - there's no spots).. am not against trialling Majak.

Not sure over the journey that Robbie has consistently showed more than Majak. What I do see is that Majak's potential upper limit could be miles better.

He's on the list anyway unless traded. If a spot opens up it might be time to at least see what's there.

By sounds of it HMAC injury is not major so he can't be elevated. Must say why is he even on the rookie list and why do we have 2 6ft9 slow un co ordinated elephants on our list and in same team.

You won't cross town to see your team, who you'd otherwise hardly get to see live, unless they find a way to put an untried rookie into the firsts because he's played well in the VFL twice and might get some nice media? Quite the devotee, aren't you.
