I really wonder what the answer is here. Those two misses were just embarrassingly bad. I'm sure they deflated his team-mates as much as the fans. But you can't drop a player whose effort and intensity has been as godd as Thomas' this year.You can't question Thomas' effort this year, he's been one of our better players but gees those easy misses are killers.
What's the answer? Play him on the wing, and hope that he is mostly passing to forwards, rather than trying to convert shots at goal?
Tell him to 'play on' whenever he has a set shot?
Have Petrie or someone give him a lead just inside 50 when he has a set shot from 15?
