Practically the only hit we cop is a standard contract a rookie gets on a 1 year contract. Polly will get paid whatever his final year was negotiated regardless.

This would've been a developing process with strings attached. We probably looked at his longevity and how he was tracking possibly implying that his career in footy is done ultimately (meaning *Essendon will take him in a heartbeat as he suits their list profile). Polec has been added to quite a few players we've taken a gamble with and it hasn't paid off.

Noble's game style didn't really help, but it was probably obvious Polec's career was on a sharp decline (optimisms aside).

Thank **** that's over. What a horrendous player. Even his 'good' years were so massively overrated. Given the licence he had (play outside, pay no attention to your opponents, don't tackle or pressure, etc) he failed to positively impact. His footskills were enormously overrated.

His body didn't let him down, turn it up. Actually I take that back, his brain is part of his body.

Iam far from the most knowledgeable footy bloke but it was plain as the nose on bradys face this bloke was cooked 19 months ago.

The only real variable was if the club had the appetite to pay him out and use the rookie spot.

I actually thought we didnt value the spot with what we did using it to pay a coach recently.

No way we should have been any where near the cap and imo i cant even see how we met the minumum cap requirements with the list we have had recently.. at least we shouldnt have been.
