I'm not seeing the alarming kicking issues being spoken about.

Very interesting player as mentioned, strong and bustling but with athletic metrics of a more outside type. Another parallel with pre-injury Andrew Swallow.

Has he played HB at all? Looks a good size and pace for some time there.

Will was saying that they at making him into a inside mid...He's going to be like a bull in a china shop in there... :laughv1:

I reckon he's a good chance to be an AFL footballer with the tools he's got. Good depth to start as a mid in our VFL team.
Levi Greenwood was not the best kick we've ever seen, made up for it in other areas.
I reckon Barlow would be pretty excited to develop this kid having played with Mundy.
And seems to have leadership, drive and a good character by the looks of it.

Unusual combination for such a powerfully built kid to run elite 20 metre and 2km times. Voluntarily training with the Australian steeplechase team shows he has an appetite for hard work!
Fair effort. Most steeplechasers were retired flat racehorses, so to take them on , phwoar..

L
What an incredibly mature young fella, he’d wipe the socks off a 18 year old Firebat (like most of these young lads to be fair!!)

Can’t wait to see him go around in the VFL, you know he’ll extract absolutely everything from himself to make it. Great pick!
Seems like a ripping hard working kid.. anything is possible. I hope he kills it

Welcome super Luke

In homage to your predecessor

Not sure why everyone is bagging his kicking. For starters he gets the ball, secondly his vision is very good to quickly handball as well as kick and thirdly while his kicking style may not appeal to the purists, a lot of those kicks found a teammate.

I remember in 2011 we took Brad McKenzie at Pick 18, who was regarded as an excellent kick, which he was, but my memory is that he never got the ball often enough to put that kicking to best effect. Seemed to lack pace as I recall and maybe that went against.

Having said that he did average 13.1 disposals across his 37 game career with us.

The people you are worried about laughing at you are the wrong people to be worried about laughing at you.

This team is going to tear others to shreds in 20-50 games. The laughter will be much more enjoyable.
The Filth Wizard, have to laugh, just got back from the movies where I went and watched "Wicked", absolute loved it and now I'm replying to "The Wizard of Oz", err sorry, The Filth Wizard, it doesn't get any better than this ha ha ha!

That second paragraph in my eyes is going to happen and believe me this is not wishful thinking, I did say that we would see glimpses of what we are going to do early this year and it took till after the bye to regroup and attack, confidence, experience, leadership and direction and a little bit of luck were missing in those last quarters, guess what, we've addressed all those except for luck and I've got a feeling that will come not in 2026 but next year. ;)

He really is a bigger version of Spitta. Uncanny

I rather we picked Jaxon Atermis. But whatever. We are a laugh anyway.

Good luck to the boy

Good luck to the kid, seems to have done it hard and been professional throughout. I hope he can tackle, be super tough defensively minded, mark and give off a handball to McKercher, Sheezel and FOS.

He doesn't have to be brilliant, just a hard mofo and take a few hits for Sheeze, Ldu, McKercher and FOS.
