When we drafted him, I thought he would become a big bodied mid that would do the dirty work to protect LDU.

Parker can do this while preparing Gav to take over. Need to protect our classy ang young mids.

After watching his highlights and interviews his size , speed and desire I think he will push for a game early.
Maybe previous injuries dropped him down, but he has worked harder than anyone to get back then really improve.
I like the attitude
That would be an almighty effort to supplant a midfield rotation from one of Sheezel, Wardlaw, Powell, Simpkin, McKercher and Parker as a first year player! Who knows though, if he lights it up in the VFL they may find room for a tagger ala Phillips last year

I have a good feeling about this guy. Singled him out with Hynes as that potential big bodied mid that we could have taken in the second round to complement our attacking midfielders. To be able to get him at 57 is massive. Looks like the sort of value a Tom Rockliff like pick had.

if his kicking is suspect, it’s time for Barlow to earn his keep. It’s time for this whole footy department to actually start developing players.

They already have hit their straps there - look at the development of RHJ and Archer.

The Filth Wizard, have to laugh, just got back from the movies where I went and watched "Wicked", absolute loved it and now I'm replying to "The Wizard of Oz", err sorry, The Filth Wizard, it doesn't get any better than this ha ha ha!

That second paragraph in my eyes is going to happen and believe me this is not wishful thinking, I did say that we would see glimpses of what we are going to do early this year and it took till after the bye to regroup and attack, confidence, experience, leadership and direction and a little bit of luck were missing in those last quarters, guess what, we've addressed all those except for luck and I've got a feeling that will come not in 2026 but next year. ;)

With his kicking he seems to blaze away often , although that is a usual occurrence from a clearance player.
Would love him to be told to hit up short passes when he starts playing vfl - never really saw any of that in his highlights
Bit of the blaze aways but there is also a technical issue with his ball drop which means the footy could go anywhere. In the short term he'll have to handball or kick long towards the boundary but hopefully improvements can be made so he can hit some short targets.

Yeah that ball drop would be a Hazard on a windy day.
I’d rather he work on his short kicks at vfl than AFL level

While East Freo the club isn't travelling that well - mostly due to shocking admin - they're still a footy powerhouse and you can generally be assured a Sharks boy will come to play.

We've had some good players out of there before and even Teakle hit the ground running last year.

This had a lot of Kyron Hayden about it imo (I’m not saying that in a bad way either) just totally feels like the time and area / player we selected when we went with him.
