Well I have to admit I never saw that game coming. Didn't think he would ever make it in the midfield, what would I know!

Was his best game by a country mile. Might have been a blessing in disguise that Parish was out, he had to step up.

12 tackles, let that sink in, wow. and they were strong tackles. That was every bit a Tom Greene / Matt Rowell type performance. 3 Brownlow votes you would think.

I thought we may go with Caldwell onball instead of him, but very glad to see his game

So we have to go with it again even with Parish next week

Probably time to move Durham to the wing/5th mid

Put him on Heeney and tell him to beat him at his game next week
Durham has to stay on ball imo just adds so much with his physicality and size

Someone else said this and I think it’s a very good point….lets see how he goes against the Swans next week.

Until then the wise words of Winston Wolf are still front of mind.

Imagine being that handsome and good at football.... no fair.
The Matrix No GIF

I think its his agility that is different combined with a bit of what you said

Im just not sure hes doing enough in there

We weren't great yesterday but we had a few missing
It’s his first game in the midfield remember, and his first first option at stoppage. He won’t be an accumulator but he still had 5 clearances yesterday

Yeh no doubt

He ahs trained there all PS and played 3 games against opposition there now

There comes a point where you need more than what hes offering right now, i think you can agree with that? I doubt Scott makes wholesale changes after a win, so no doubt hes there next week

It’s played 1 afl match in the role. Needs at least half a season to judge.

We've thought Archie had broken out a few times

I have feeling this might be finally it. Fingers crossed.
Agree! So long as he stays in the midfield. Doesn't see it enough forward of centre imo. Goes missing too often as a forward. I really like him when he gets in amongst it. Big body and plays strong.

Perkins, Setterfield, Parish, Merrett, some decent inside mid depth finally.

Durham was the bloke still running in the last quarter when most others where spent.

Same here. Happily surprised though…

Me too, I drafted Caldwell in fantasy thinking he'd be on-ball.
Next minute, Archie Perkins becomes Lusty Martin

Lets see if he can repeat it against an opposition who show him some respect before calling him the next superstar

His quote was: “I think he could be their next superstar, I agree with that, but he still has a long way to go”

He didn’t come out and say point blank ‘he’s a superstar’

He pretty much said what the majority of the fans on here are thinking…

Just surfaced from my bender after watching Perk silence all the doubters with his performance on Saturday.
24 Disposals
12 Tackles
9 Score involvements
2 goals
And surely 3 votes!

Sign of things to come. Get around him!
He played very well on Saturday. He needs to play consistently well to silence doubters (myself included).

Having said that, I really want him to succeed and I think it’s a performance he can sustain.
