Player Profile:

At just 22 James Jordon can call himself a premiership player after appearing in the 2021 Grand Final for Melbourne as the medical substitute, the same year he made his debut for the Dees. The midfielder was initially taken as pick 33 in the 2018 draft and joined the Sydney Swans on the opening day of the 2023 AFL Free Agency Period. He played just 18 games in 2023 with the hopes to improve and grow in the red and white.

James Jordn
Born: 20 December 2000
Draft: 2018
Recruited from: Oakleigh Chargers >> Melbourne

Any idea if there is footage around of that? I was overseas at the time so only got to watch the AFL replay and they (infuriatingly) cut it off at the final siren.

Not sure if this link will take you to what it says it will take you to, but give it a try.

Thanks Liz, that did it.
They all looked pretty pleased with themselves 😊

In the six prior games against Essendon in the 2020s decade so far, Zach Merrett has received coaches votes in five out of those six games, at an average of 6 votes a game in those games.

We haven't had a single answer for Merrett.

We do now!
One of the nicest things is that JJ still manages to get his own ball, use it with skill and kick the odd goal. Multidimensional.

And this is why Clamps Mk11, aka JJ, is so far superior to version 1 aka Clarkey.

Technically we don’t know if he received votes for Friday’s game. Scott might give him five “just because”

Jimmy to me, will be the real dream come true, fairytale ending if we do end up winning the flag this year.
Growing up a Swans fan, playing good footy but always on the peripheral at the Dees's, unused sub in the 21 Grannie, to now playing a key role for his beloved team. Can you imagine how he will be feeling if we actually do it.

It is quite baffling given the Dees smashed them that Jordon couldn't get on for 5 minutes in the granny.
It's a bit shit really isn't it? I know it wouldnt be ideal to be the guy who gets subbed off but surely you'd be happy to do it so that a team mate can actually get involved and feel like they were part of it

Just loved how he made up for his bad error in the last quarter that led to a goal within 2 minutes with that inspired play to set up Campbell. That is all you can ever, ever ask of a player when they make a costly mistake. That they are hellbent on making up for it, as he did.

What a bargain he has proven to be, and so many good years in front of him to come too.
