I had a look again, he barely even gets a shoulder to #41 and looks like he almost catches feet/legs with #26 as he runs around him to intercept where I started the GIF...

maybe you're referring to this hit? which was in the 3rd period:

Pwoaaarrrrr

Fken smashed him

Early reports was he's still a fair way off.I know its only one game but besides from his ol man every other Rioli are more HF's than mids and its actually the quality of when they have the ball that does the most damage moreso than how many times they get it.
Would not surprise if MJR gets a taste of it before seasons end purely on that basis.

Well yeah, I reckon Daniel wasn't ready yet in 2016 and he debuted round 1 and has played many games since. No reason MRJ can't have an impact but I reckon it'll take him a little while, side is a bit harder to crack now. Looking at him, I don't get the feeling he'll have the ability to take a mark like Castagna and to a perhaps lesser extent Daniel, so his skill will need to be much more about the pressure and crumbing.

Daniel wasn’t ready but our team was in a different place (still building to compete so you can afford to give guys a game to help boost development

We are right in our window so we need to be playing our best every week

I think all 4 have different skill sets.
George- Speed/Endurance & Marking
Daniel-Awareness/Big game
Aarts-Ability to run thru the midfield.
MJR-Goal sense/Physical.
Imagine having both Rioli's/Bolton & Shedda in the fwd line along with the Goat.
Can't wait.

He’s prob about 18m ahead of where I thought he was , nice work clarkey talking him down at every opportunity, you had me thinking 2024 he might be looking the goods
Got the forward craft already. Great to see that. I'm tempering my expectations knowing the opponents were Melbourne's VFL team. Let him develop AFL fitness.
I'm enjoying watch Aarts play.

Love to see those 4 role through the midfield and forward. Would be an absolute nightmare for opposition teams & a delight for Tiger fans...🐯

As long as their wearing the Tiger Jumper TJ they can roll anywhere.lol

Will be the best debut from a 15 year old since Timmi Watson

Not expecting much from him for 2 years until george leaves via free agency to gold coast and we get a 1st rounder and we will have MJ ready to roll
Giving George away cheap.
