G'day all

I'm a first time poster but regular reader.

I'm home from work ill and to relieve my boredom dug out an old video "1985 - Record Breaking Bulldogs" - a video put out by the club consisting of 1985 in review by a Board member (Noel Delbridge???) and Mick Malthouse.

Most of you would be too young to remember but some things that grabbed my attention again were: how good Brian Royal was; the magic of Dougie Hawkins and Magic McLean; the underrated and reliable Brian Cordy; the handy pickup of Tony Buhagiar and Lally Bamblett; the strength of Steve McPherson and above all how good Mick Malthouse was as coach.

Alas, as usual, it got depressing towards the end of the video at the business end of the season, but 16 from 22 wasn't abad return.

Might watch the 1984 highlight tape - can't remember what happened that year.

Welcome aboard old_fella.

Keep an eye out for R1 and Beasley's 12 against the tiges. Also '84 was the year that Graeme Allan kicked it to Simon Beasley for the match winning goal against Collingwood at the Western Oval in R11(?).
