I found quite a lot of what the English called banter among mates to be pretty cruel and would have been called out as bit OTT here.
Yeah I'm not sure exactly when it happened but dickhead vs respectful cricket crowds have undergone a big inversion between Australia and England in my time watching the game.

But yeah specifically some of they stuff they say would not be acceptable here.

Hypothetically, we lose the first session to rain, usman and head just need to try and bat until tea then resasses whether it's worth chasing in the last.

Honestly would rather us try and chase them down from the get go because I don't trust Carey and Green to be able to bat And bat and bat without marking a (specifically Carey) dumb mistake

If Carey plays a single reverse sweep I'll be livid

Agree, Turnbull catering for the masses didn't help. The ones who follow cricket know this wasn't new and the other countries gave their cheating cricketers light sanction.
Australians don't cheat, Warner, Smith and the other guy should have been banned for life - especially because they were caught red handed in such stupid fashion.

Warner is definitely a polarising cricketer. On the last tour to England l, I can't remember what match, but he was on the boundary and he must have been copping abuse about the sandpaper incident, and he held out his pockets to the crowd to show they were empty. Everyone pissed themselves.

All the hate and vitrol around the sandpaper incident, and here is the main character, taking the piss to the crowd about it.

Or when Gayle checked Warner's pockets during the t20 world cup in 2021. It was great theatre.

Ever since then it is impossible not to respect Warner. Whatever you think of him, or say, he just doesn't care.
And when he did that commentary stint he was better than I thought he would be, that's for sure.
