Cheers mate, amended accordingly.

No worries don't think he plays but just was saying so you could amend it. Connolly broke his hand in the ODI so he's out for a bit didn't catch how long.

Arrh the annual why the blue moon does Tim David still get a gig

Gough Connolly is out he's been replaced with Josh Phillipe mate
Phillippe continuing the trend of getting 2 caps when he moved to NSW, one NSW Cap and 1 Aussie cap to save time

To be fair though he's been in great form this year

Already going to be **** all people there because no one knows its on, but there is all big **** off storms forecast for the afternoon which will keep even more people away even if they've passed by start time.

People do realise it’s not just CA that treats these series as trials for bigger tournaments? India are currently playing a T20 series against South Africa that I’m sure most people don’t even know about given their main players are in Aus.

All countries have been telling the ICC for a while (through the teams they pick) that any ODI or T20I series outside of a 1-2 month window before a major tournament will be given very low priority. They are used purely to workout who could be in those squads for a major tournament, outside of the main star players.

To add to this. In India’s case for T20, we already know what spots need filling (1) aggressive opener for Rohit, (2) anchor 3/4 for Virat, and (3) spinning at for Jadeja. And hence we have players auditioning for this positions.

As for Australia, we have no clue what sports are available and if other players are gonna retire prior to 2026

Also a long long time until that World Cup in 2026, doubt we get an idea on a core squad until early 2026

Storms and rain threatening to spoil this game, Brisbane is almost as bad as Sydney when it comes to weather.

They should have just stayed in Perth and played all the T20s there where it's always sunny at this time of year.

Well this flattened me. No play. No activity in the thread. None of the BOM screenshots that I can usually rely on.

We really don't care about cricket til the test matches start, hey?
