Remember when we bowled them out for 36 and then Kohli went home? Wouldn't underestimate India at all.
That was an amazing morning. Walking into the ground we were talking about all results being in play, a couple of hours later we're going home saying what the f*** just happened.

Looks like this could be a disaster for India with so many of their first choice XI unavailable because of injury

We lost a series to their C side last tour trust me I’m far from taking anything for granted

As long as Jaiswal is there they can win

I’ll be interested to see how he goes on Australian pitches
Likes to hit through the ball on the front foot, which might cause him some worries here. Provided the boys keep the ball up to him early.

Didn't do a lot on the Saffer tour which is perhaps the closest in the world to our conditions, but was very early in his career.

He's a class player, he'll have a good innings at some point.

I'd be happier if India play Jadeja rather than Ashwin in Perth, but I doubt it will happen.

Plenty.

Australia have been very hit or miss the last couple of years, very few of the batsmen are in any sort of recent form, and haven't played a Test Match for 8½ months.

India are a very good cricket side.

But India just lost 3-0 at home to NZ!!!

If they can’t win where they’ve been unbeatable, how are they going to go here? They’ve won here when they’ve been in good form, teams don’t come here in bad form and win.

I think some of their batsmen may actually appreciate not batting on spinning dust bowls and enjoy some pace on the ball.

I think we will win but it won’t be as big a flogging as some expect

It was said up further but I suspect they might enjoy batting on our pitches a bit more than batting on what they got served up at home.

Frankly who wouldn’t?

As they say in financial circles, past performance is not a guarantee of future performance. And that works both ways.

Literally no reason they shouldn’t play both of them and play Jadeja as an all rounder. If he was a medium pacer no one would bat an eye lid and say ‘oh yeah he’s a 30-35 average batsman who can give us 5 overs an innings and take a wicket.’

For some unknown reason because he is not a medium pacer who can give 5 overs at 125km but has 300 test wickets bowling spin, the verdict seems to be that they can only either pick him or Ashwin, and bat a specialist at 6 who’s probably less likely to make runs and can’t bowl at all 😂

The 5-0 and similar predictions of a thrashing by Australia are a little much at this stage.

India are in a rough patch but folks seem to forget they haven't really struggled batting in our conditions for quite some time. On the bowling front they have the quality to test our flakey bats. Aussies are very susceptible to a bad session snowballing.

I doubt we will beat India by more than 2 tests across the series. 3-1 most likely result IMO. India will pinch one somewhere for sure.
