Like how to get under oppo fans skin with everything you do!

More being able to come up with a team lifting moment when it's needed.

I would rather Hopper get credit from oppo fans as it makes me sick that Cotchin isn't going to get the recognition he deserves when its all said and done. Mind you our own fans sell him short half the time so can't complain too much about opposition fans not giving him the credit.

Bloody awesome get and just goes to show how a well run club (from top to bottom) is attractive to prospective talent........Well done Tigers.

Would have liked to have been a bit more active on the forum but we've had our hands full over the last few weeks and in particular right now dealing with a potential major flood at Rochester. Myself and my partner look after the caravan park on the banks of the Campaspe and while it's glorious having one of the best native fisheries in our back yard it's also a responsibility in looking after the residents and holiday goers. Unfortunately we've had to evacuate the park and move everyone's 'homes' to higher ground.

Hoping to keep up with all that's going on in Tigerland.
Hope the situation improves for u guys. #gotiges

The young fella has some muscle on him, cannot wait to see a Jack Graham Jacob Hopper and Prestia combo crunching the oppo mids.

More beef than a cattle yard between those three.

eat em alive tigers.

.
Then Nank coming in to finish them off.

Anyone else concerned that Hopper doesn't live up to the hype ?

I haven't seen anything to suggest that he isn't the bog average mid he was at GWS outside of his AA year. Doesn't get it enough and is prone to make errors. Hopefully there is improvement in him but just at present it is a concern for me.

maybe give him more than 10 seconds at a new club before judging. many people thought the same with prestia early and look how that turned out.

Thought he was very good last night and I’ve been a doubter .

Seriously, can we not turn this thread into Tom Lynch 2019 round 1-6 2.0?

Hopper was out injured for a majority of last year, he’s going to need time.

Just like Lynch and Prestia did when we traded them in.

Maybe your post is 1-2 years premature

Wasn't good let's not sugarcoat it. But no reason to write him off.

He will get better, a lot better. To me he looked nervy, a bit fumbly and indecisive. To be expected for a new club in such a big game, in a new role, etc etc etc

He's always been a classy player so that what's stood out to me the most. The unexpected skill errors. He's not comfortable yet.

I never thought he was a superstar.

I never thought Taranto was a superstar either but it is clear Taranto can cover the ground better than most.

At least Taranto admits after the game there are things to work on. A left foot would be nice

With Hopper, I watch a lot of GWS because I am in NSW. He is handy, a lot rate him, he is not a dud. In GWS they rotate a lot through, it is hard to get a read on him as the rotation seem many are transitional in a production line. It is a bit like Kennedy and Steele, they have to get out to find themselves

I am watching him more closely now he is with RFC. Initially I mentioned he looked a little bulky, I think he looked better last night.

With Hopper at least he has some size and some skill. Does he have a identity problem in the sense his role as he looks a little inbetween?

It is early days. I don't know yet. Does Hopper need to use his size more at contests more in setups.I am not saying he is not brave but there was a bounce and Hopper was out in space and I am thinking how does that suit Hopper's skillset? Should Hopper not be closer to a opponent in closer?? At the same time Hopper, like I said before should watch not getting big because he is not quick. I seen him kick a little off the mark but I assume that will improve.

Hopper is not De Goey but it looks like he has more influence in tight. How does he get better??? More aggression, more vigour, more mobility, more urgency, getting closer to the action maybe. It would make sense Hopper took on blocking roles in opposition set-ups where necessary

It is early days

I think at GWS there was not a lot of fine tuning games of individual players because a lot where coming through in a bunch and clear benchmarks maybe where not easily identifiable because they never knew a set mix given the constant transition and rotation. Even Cameron of GWS now Geelong could go up the ground but was not explored fully until at Geelong which probably comes with a more balanced list there. To me GWS have a lot of good players, high draft picks especially mids. They have no superstar though. There is no Bontempelli at GWS. Because they have so many good players as a collective, especially mids they get a lot of ball and some think some are superstars especially if focusing on stats. Callaghan might be there first superstar if not Tom Green
