Adidas new Cricket Australia Sponsor - New uniforms home and away for tests and ODI

Ponting was speaking at the launch of a new sponsorship arrangement between Cricket Australia and adidas, which will see the Australian team adopt home and away outfits for both Test and one-day internationals.

They're using the soccer designs of season 05/06.
We'll be wearing something similar to Newcastle.

What a fecking pointless idea, there was no need for this in cricket. Unlike football there are no genuine clashes, although now they have in fact created a clash (Aus Away v Saf Home). All they've done is ripped off the Australia A guernsey anyway.

They look terrible. Hate the green one- we are South Africa. Don't like the new gold one with the 3 white stripes on the top. Adidas can do better than that.

We don't NEED an alternate strip anyone- no other team is yellow . In soccer they DO need alternates. Stupidity.

the reason for two uniforms is simple. $$$$

more attention raised from two uniforms means more sponsorship money, and by having an alternate strip you will probably find an increase in merchandise sales.
