Seems like the type of player who will kick 3 or 4 or nothing at all with not much in between

But since he’s playing ones I’ll always back in a boy in our colours so hopefully he cracks in

When he was rucking we had no one to kick to at least to create a contest going forward.

Need a Ryan or Naismith to come in so we have someone at least giving that aerial contest

Did what I expected ppl need to stop thinking he is a superstar & lower their expectations he brought the ball to ground did some okay things but he isn't Lynch.

Naismith might not have done better.

The missed handball to sonsie was just so sad. He end up trying to shovel it two him two handed and it simply fell short and ruined momentum.
I don’t expect much but very basic skills need to be executed

I did think his ruck and tap work was excellent though.

He looks ok when he’s in front of his opponent which is rare. Below the knees he’s adequate enough for a tall. His problem is he doesn’t present often enough as there were so many beautiful placed kicks towards him and he just stood there and the ball was cleared away. He needs to correct these in the vfl and never be played unless he does. He was a terrible selection based on his game last week in the vfl as he showed all these deficiencies in his game.

I thought Lefau at least gave a contest physically.

This bloke just doesn't have the competitiveness to be a successful key forward. It's backline or bust imo.

This is a great point. His judgement of the play infront of him isn’t of a natural forward. It’s evident with the distance he has between himself and the kicker which allowed his opponent to be infront and take an intercept. Just like Wilkie did today with his 12 intercept possessions.

He did compete okay in most situations and like you said moves okay for a big fella. Worth investing time in the vfl for him to develop his forward craft or I guess he has the time in the 1s whilst lynch is out
