It's a fact.

Hawks gave up a 2nd round pick for Chol and he's probably on twice as much coin and for 4 years. We gave up a late 3rd that we wouldn't have even used. Not sure either club are 'happy'.

That is true.

I thought Kosi would've been on a 2 year contract. 3 surprised me. contract length inflation. He's had a couple of games, His game vs saints wasn't terrible.
Haven't watched the Eagles loss.

Ryan and Cray keep putting their hand up.

I reckon he deserves a chance to prove himself when Lynch or Balta get back.

He is useless as a main target, but might be ok with another key tall there.
at this rate, lefau probably better suited. Allows Balta to play back up ruck. It feels like Balta is not getting into games until he rolls through the ruck

Cumbo can only dream of playing as many games as Kosi
That’s the problem
Dreams too much, needs to think less and just play
Has more talent in his left pinky than all of Kosi

sO DID dAN cONNORS

Adrian Mcadam had more talent than 90% of players that have played AFL but could only manage 30 odd games
unless you have the mental strength and work ethic you are nothing

Cumbo doesnt have it

Unlike a lot of posters, I'm not putting a line through Koschitzke just yet. He's played 3 games for the club, none of them with Lynch, only 1 with Balta when we were out of the game before quarter time and the other 2 he's been asked to lead a forward line with a 3 gamer in Lefau as his main support, another rookie in Campbell , Mansell & Maurice who most here had written of as no good only a few weeks ago. The only 2 genuine stars we've had playing up forward have been Bolton & Martin who are also being asked to help out in the midfield as we've been decimated there as well.

I want to see how Koschitzke goes playing in our best side, with the proper support up forward and the best midfield line up driving the ball into our forward line in the manner that Yze wants to see it being delivered, not this haphazard manner that is happening. It's only then that we can truly make the call on whether Koschitzke belongs or not. Surely people have learned not to make snap judgements about both players and coaches after what has happened with Hardwick in 2016 and some players from that era that were written off as being no good, but went on to become premiership players.

Can i swap him for Liam McBean please

Ok.Jayden Post will do

Firstly it's not a snap judgement. He has been in the AFL system for five years. He has been crap or at best mediocre for the vast percentage of it. What we are seeing is nothing new, it's just Koschitzke being Koschitzke.

However, you are 100 percent right, he would be a better player if he played third banana to Lynch and Balta. But would we be a better team? I know it's a small AFL sample (but that's why I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and not Koschitzke) but Mykelti Lefau is exactly what you'd want in a third forward. Fast, powerful, immensely strong, with sure hands and a sound kick. And someone due to his rugby background that can add some scary tackling pressure to our forward line. He is infinitely better prospect than a slow, plodding, poorly skilled and uncordinated player like Justin Koschitzke.

Anyhow, Koschitzke improving with Balta and Lynch by his side is a given (although I'm not sure how they would feel about it, at Hawthorn he was notorious for clumsiness and getting in the way of other forwards). But again you could say that about any player. And since I am neither his mother or significant other, in isolation I don't care if Koschitzke's report card has slightly fewer red marks on it. It's about whether it actually improves the side and whether there aren't better long term prospects that you might want to try first in that role. Personally assuming everyone were fit (yes I know, it's a ridiculous notion), I would give extended opportunities to Lefau, Ryan, Bauer and then eventually Fawcett in that order as third forwards. Only then when they have been tried and failed would I be resorting to a dreadfully limited role player like Jacob Koschitzke.

Still all academic, pigs will fly before all the above players, not least of all Lynch and Balta, are all fit at the same time...
