He speaks so easily, smoothly and is a natural. Nice answers on LDU and the AFLW cup.

And didn't get sucked into giving then a number of wins as a pass mark like the media wants. He speaks so easily, smoothly and is a natural. Nice answers on LDU and the AFLW cup.
You lost me at Simpkin and McDonald have done their jobs. Do you really believe that?I really think Nick will be voted in as sole captain this season.
Simpkin & McDonald have done their jobs as stop gap co-captains, sharing the load through some real shit times.
It is time for them both to step back & concentrate on their own games, for the sake of themselves & the team.
This year feels like a ‘new beginning’ (yes it seems like we say that around this time every year) & as such we need a new leader to lead us into the new dawn.
Larkey seems like the only logical candidate to me.
LDU, Sheezel & Xerri are the only other options as I see it.
LDU is more introverted & not good with media.
Sheezel is too young. Very likely our next captain.
Xerri should concentrate on backing up from last year.
Larkey is the man & he would be a captain we can proud of.
It is what it is. We’re they successful? You lost me at Simpkin and McDonald have done their jobs. Do you really believe that?
They’re protected species around here. Criticising the leadership, board, recruitment is not on.. the pedestal majority of these posters put these people on, any impartial observer to bf north would think we have the best 22 players and administration in the compYou lost me at Simpkin and McDonald have done their jobs. If this does eventuate, he'd better cut the whinging. Every key forward not named Charlie Curnow cops a rough go of it for much of the season. It's the nature of being a key forward. He's carried a bigger load than anyone, but he still lets his ego get the better of him. No more of it please NickI really think Nick will be voted in as sole captain this season.

I'm not and generally don't but to state they did their job is far from the truth. It is what it is. We’re they successful?
No.
But the club and culture haven’t been for a decade.
Thanks for the effort, and move on. No need to stick the boot in.
Not really. I think Simpkin has been ok. McDonald not so much. You lost me at Simpkin and McDonald have done their jobs. Do you really believe that?
Love this from Nick.
Sounds like there is a real 'no excuses' mentality anymore when it comes to being competitive.
We're still going to need those guys to play AFL games for us. There's a balance that needs to be struck as these kids can't physically get through the grind of a full AFL season yet. It's up to them to bang down the door to be picked as well.Agree with this.
It’s time Clarko and co showed this at the selection table.
In no world should McDonald, Tucker, Fisher or Stephens be picked round 1 if we are fully fit.
I don’t care who was promised what from where. We need to be backing in Hardeman, O’Sullivan, Ford, Duursma, Goater (if fit), George (when fit) etc for those 20 - 23 spot in the team.
We have a very experienced lineup now and have no place for any of those senior names mentioned unless injury strikes.
We have a few outliers now in Darling and Parker, but because they only replace shiels and to a lesser extent Greenwood, overall we still have the youngest list in the compAgree with this.

Tucker was solid in the back half of last season on half back. So I think he starts there. The other 3, if the team is fit, they should be on the outer in the scoobs. In no world should McDonald, Tucker, Fisher or Stephens be picked round 1 if we are fully fit.

I’d start packing your locker Happy Meal, YOU ARE GONE
Tucker can play a role when if injury strikes. But if we are picking him round 1 in front of Hardeman for example, we are going no where.
Hardeman wasn’t ready in round 24, what makes you think in 3 months he is now ready? He was out of his depth when he played ones, nothing has shifted since? Based on round 24, Tucker is way ahead of Hardeman. Not saying he will be by EOS 2025, as of right now.Tucker can play a role when if injury strikes. But if we are picking him round 1 in front of Hardeman for example, we are going no where.
A lot of the jack reiwoldts about himI can’t get my head around that it’s the same level headed guy that turns into a frustrated umpire complainer when the game is not going his way.
