Nope. But Hooker is old, Jones is extremely young, Stringer gets injured. Worthwhile having Wright around and he cost SFA

Outside of contested marking, I can't see how Smack is better than Wright.

I do think you are disregarding the best part about Smack.. his freakish moments. The hope they delivered!

If Smack and Wright were the same age, I'd take Smack every day of the week.

Nah, I love Smack but he’s been umpired out of the comp. The way he attacks ruck and marking contests is completely flawed for the way the game is umpired now despite being perfect for 20 years ago. You take the tall clunker in the era of no contact and verticality.

My only issue with Wright is that he’s got a pancake arse. Cannot hold his ground in marking contests. High centre of gravity.

Workrate around the ground and skills have been pretty good.

Thought he was much better in much less favourable conditions against McInerney who I thought was primed to monster Wright.

OMac is a massive, massive man and I thought Wright generally beat him. He certainly matched him physically and had the better of the boundary throw-ins. Some of Wright's follow up was also pretty good.

I know it will probably end in tears but I would love for Wright to be the number 1 against Grundy. Really set himself for the physical battle to set the standard for what Wright needs to bring for the rest of his time.

He finally clunked one half way through that game and his confidence went through the roof. Not fumbly after that and looked super from that point. Was involved with tackles early when things were not going his way. He should be walking taller tonight.
