Probaly alot more than the Strom, the Adelaide Rams, Western Reds.

Well i'm old enough to remember when the swans came in and there crowds were not that great, i also remember seeing the Bears, some of there crowds made STH Sydney's look great.

You sound like 1 of those guys who expects crowds to be around 30,000 straight away, the only way a team gets great crowds straight away is if they have been playing the sport for years in that territory but have been in a lower division just like the EPL, you cannot expect the Storm to have fantastic crowds when they are a new game in a new territory, all sport has to grow and all sport has to start small.

I don't know why i'm arguing with you, you obviously will never except the fact Melbourne Storm or Rugby League is being played in Victoria.

You seem to think the Swans are some big popular team, well if you look on the bigfooty boards, the swans seem to be as popular as the Rugby union forum, why is that?

Yes they get good crowds now, they struggled for years before that though, at the same time they are still struggling to get a decent hold of the ratings in Sydney and NSW, Souths might get 6,000 to a game, but the ratings for any game they play on TV will be ten to twenty times the amount that the swans get.

6,000....the game has stuff all real passion, don't worry about you're TV ratings, crowds are the guide on how you judge your true RL supporters. Seems they watch but don't really give a f@ck. One day they could hope to get the crowd the Swans get on a bad day. The Swans and the Lions are still surviving, and thriving! You don't know why you are arguing because you know I'm right. 7,500 to the Storm game on the weekend, like it's a one-team town. We want it to survive because we want to support all codes but it's drowning. We don't really want it to go the way of the Rams and the Reds. And yes I do watch a RL games because I like all sports. Also watch RU (prefer union), soccer, cricket and most other sports. The only difference I actually go watch AFL and cricket with some passion. If the Storm lose I don't really care, if my AFL team loses (again!) I get very disappointed like most passionate supporters. Do many RL supporters give a s*hit if their team loses?

You assume that bigger 50000 neutral crowds = more passion than 20000 one-eyed crowds. You could argue the 20000 one-eyed crowd against you is more daunting for opposition teams than a neutral crowd at a neutral venue. Tribalism is alive and well in Sydney whereas its died in Melbourne.

Really? For starters, the level of merchandise sales would disagree with that..

Perfectly understandable.

Arrogance and ignorance to go down the path of arguing my passion is greater than your passion...
