You are looking at that through rose coloured glasses. 2 games and a huge % difference between Bris and the 8th best side in 2013.

12th was a fitting result as where your club is at.

Were you under a rock for round 23?
Brisbane needed to win against Geelong to make the finals, and they needed Port to beat Carlton.

Brisbane lost by 1 point (had a chance to win it with 10 secs left, but missed). Port were smashing Carlton, they had a 40ish point lead, Carlton came back in the last quarter and got infront, Port had a chance in the last minute to reclaim the lead but also missed.

In the end, all that came between us and the finals were 2 shanked kicks.

Read my post - the 8th best side in 2013 was 3 games better. A team got kicked out late that opened the door to a few clubs.

The ladder got Brisbane correct in 2013. 12th best side.

If you're talking about Essendon, they didn't deserve to be there anyway. They wouldn't of got that far without the drugs

Weak - you named a bloke that retired and a half back flanker. Maloney is injury prone and there is no depth.

Black wasn't retired during this season, and that's what this argument is about.

Who's the half back flanker?

We had plenty of midfield depth: Rocky, Black, Rich, Redden, Moloney, Zorko, Hanley, Mayes, Raines, Polkinghorn, Lester, Karnezis, Polec, Beams, O'brien and Crisp.

Triple R, Hanley, Moloney and Leuenberger playing as a ruckman forms a formidable midfield six. Anyone arguing cannot be more wrong.

Hawthorn
Geelong
Carlton
Essendon
Richmond
Sydney
Gold Coast
Collingwood
Adelaide
Port
Freo

IMO all these midfields are will be comfortably better than brisbanes in 2014

Geelong - even
Carlton - a lot worse
Essendon - better
Richmond - better
Sydney - better
Gold Coast - even
Collingwood - better
Adelaide - worse
Port - worse
Freo - better

that's only 5 teams who have a better midfield than us. I'd say our midfield is on par with 6-10th placed teams
