Geelong (will still be the top team)
Hawthorn (clearlly ahead of third)
St. Kilda (will finish ahead of a few teams by only percentage or one win)
Western Bulldogs (will not have a dominant start to the year like 2008 but won't drop off as badly in the 2nd half of the year like in 2008)
Adelaide (are always up there but still don't have the team to push for a flag)
North Melbourne (don't have the team for a flag but teams will have to be on there game to knock off the Kangas)
Collingwood (will finish just ahead on Carlton, Richmond & Brisbane)
Carlton (games against Richmond could decide which team makes it)
Richmond (if everyone steps up for them they could finish as high as 6th but a battle for the final places in the 8 could be more realistic)
Brisbane Lions (a good team on paper but a new coach may set them back early on)
Sydney (will rely on too few but like the Kangas the opposition will have to be on there game to beat the Swans)
Port Adelaide (too good a team to play like they did last year but probably need a couple of there younger players to take the next step before finals is achieveable)
Essendon (like Port need some of the 50-100 games to take another step otherwise there will be too much reliance on the senior players)
West Coast (another bad year but wouldn't be surprised if they are the big improvers in 2010)
Fremantle (still rebuilding)
Melbourne (improvments will become visable in 2009 but 2010 is when the climbing will begin)

Re: 2009 AFL Ladder Prediction

1. Geelong (Will be hungry from last year and revenge will be sweet)
2. Western Bulldogs (Will get stronger this year and go one step)
3. Hawthorn (Will just fall short and may cop a few injuries)
4. St Kilda (Top 4 at best but it will depend on injuries will be there abouts)
5. Carlton (Big improvers this year onballers and better forward structure)
6. Collingwood (Will be on the slide but still there abouts)
7. Essendon (Young talent to shine and get there running game happening)
8. Richmond (Will improve further and finally make the finals)

9. Adelaide (Will lack forwards and goalkicking just to miss)
10. Kangaroos (Bit of a slide this year but will be challenging for eight)
11. Fremantle (Win alot of games at home but struggle away)
12. Sydney (rebuilding a side and will start developing)
13. Port Adelaide (Will struggle and re build but danger side at home)
14. Brisbane (Will rely on Voss to spur them on but if Brown goes in trouble
15. West Coast (still rebuilding will get an exciting team in the future)
16. Melbourne (Will need further picks and just not enough talent)

1. Hawthorn - hate to say it
2. Geelong- again, hate to say it, won't make it count when it matters
3. Collingwood - may find another gear if youngsters improve
4. Port Adelaide - capable of better than last year, though wont go all the way
5. St Kilda - finalists but nothing more I feel
6. Western Bulldogs - I really dont know about them??
7. Adelaide - see St Kilda
8. Sydney - win the games they should, lose they games they should

9. North - thereabouts
10. Fremantle - a bad coach, will halt them progressing much
11. Carlton - would like to see them squander a little longer, but may push for finals if Im being honest
12. Brisbane - too inconsistent, new coach etc
13. Richmond - Cousins-hype aside they're still nothing
14. Essendon - they're own fans hype aside they're still nothing
15. West Coast - hard to see them beating the above 14 teams
16. Melbourne - God, just let it be better than last year

premiers - bulldogs
runner up - port adelaide

Geelong- Still the premier team in the league, Will change forward line around with Gamble, Hawkins and improvement from Varcoe

Hawthorn- Think players being suspended, player being injured and to many missing a pre-season will prevent them form winning back to back

Western Buldogs- Great list great players but they don't seem consistent enough through the whole season, should finish third but not any higher

Port Adelaide- Think will suprise a lot, a young midfield that has had another preseason, great forward line, good backline being very strong at home

St Kilda- If injuries are good for them for once could see them finishing top 3 but it wont happen, poor old st kilda they deserve a flag

Collingwood- Always competitive, always hard to beat but i think they lack the super stars to challenge for a flag. Could prove me wrong though

Carlton- Think we are on the up, not as much as some of our stupid biased supporters say though. People say we have no backline but im confident that are young players back there will suprise a few, great midfield star forward will struggle to beat the better teams though

Brisbane- I really rate the playing list and this is a big punt but i think Vossy will get them to finals this year and even bigger things in years to come

North Melbourne- Could make the eight and will challenge but to much reliance on Harvey, Hale, Pratt etc..

Essedon- If injuries are kind to them could very much be a top 8 side, play exciting football and do have a good list. But football isn't kind and i think that if there important players go down they will struggle

Sydney- Could easily be in the 8 again as they like proving everyone wrong but they have to fall eventually, im thinking this is the year. Maybe

Richmond- In my prvious attempts i had the top 6 but after watching them in last night's game(and yes i know it's only NAB cup) i cannot see them doing well at all under terry wallace. Need a key forward

Adelaide- Think the forward line is going to be there down fall, will be hard to score against with a great backline and very solid midfield. But that is all

Fremantle- Could be dangerous at home, but it's Freo and you never know what your gonna get, another year down the bottom i think

West Coast- Re Building there list, very good young midfield and should be the same team they were 05, 06 in 4-5 years

Melbourne- Poor old Melbourne need to re-build a lot, lack the talent that will get them off the bottom
