---Checklist---

1. One bottom four team to make the 8 - West Coast
2. One top four team to drop out of the 8 - Bulldogs

Other bold predictions:
Richmond, Carlton & West Coast to be the big movers.
Adelaide to be the big sliders.
Brisbane, Collingwood, Sydney, Saints & the Doggies to remain thereabouts. Some will make up the numbers. Others will miss out. Won't matter in the end.
Fremantle will once again trade draft picks for mature-aged players. Will keep them mediocre.

Re: 2009 AFL Ladder Prediction

Why do people think that Carlton will finish in front of Richmond.
Look at the lists, its clear daylight imo between Blues and Tiges, Carltons list is a superstar lineup wich will reach its potential in 2 years time and will dominate like Geelong are now.

Hawthorn
Geelong
Adelaide
Collingwood
St kilda
Bulldogs
Carlton
Nth mel

Essendon
Richmond
Wce
Brisbane
Sydney
Port A

Re: 2009 AFL Ladder Prediction

Geelong - Injury free they are probably atleast 2 more years away from being seriously challanged.
Hawthorn - Good enough on an off Geelong day, with Buddy/Hodge/Mitchell, better than the rest
Brisbane - Surprise packet, im thinking they will win 15 games under Voss. Great young midfielders, Black, Bradshaw and Brown to dominate
Collingwood - Enough to suggest they are good enough if they get some consistency about themselves. Need to start winning games they are supposed to win tho.
Port Adelaide - Add Tredrea, Cornes, Salopek, Pettigrew, Boak back into the side, plus a good pick at #4, will be around the mark next year.
Richmond - Will do Wallace the favour of making the finals to get him a couple of extra years at Tigerland. Im actually hoping they can sting a few good years together.
Carlton - Add a Ziebell or Hurley to their line up and a full preseason for Judd, thro in an even better Murphey and Gibbs, will find thier way back to September.
Bulldogs - Seriously need some KPP's to staighten them up and give support to their midfield. Could slip lower if they dont find someone here.
Adelaide - If Craig gets off his high horse and finally starts playing Taylor Walker like he should've been since about round 15 this year, they could do anything. Just how long do the likes of Mcleod, Goodwin and Edwards have left tho.
Fremantle - Another team that could do anything next year with a slate of players coming back into the side and adding a RIch or Naitanui to the side will be huge.
Essendon - Could get sucked into drafting Kerr with pick 5 which i think will spell all sorts of trouble for them. I think as evidenced by a couple of shellackings this year, that if they struggle with injuries they will be lucky to finish this high, have a good run and they will be banging on the door.
St. Kilda - 1 game away from a GF this week, which means i dont think they will get much out of the draft this year, and could be overtaken by teams with longer preseasons and were able to send players to surgery early.
North Melbourne - Its a folly of mine every year, underestimate the roos and im gonna do it again. Harvey is getting on, Grant is gone, Thompson is gone, question mark on McIntosh after a great year last year. Im sure they will prove me wrong but i think they need to bottom out to go higher than what they are now. Need a couple of genuine class midfielders.
Sydney - Too many aging stars that will fall by the way side, theres only gonna be so much slack a fit Goodes can do.
West Coast - I think they will benefit from a trade if they can get 2 first rounders including 1 in the top 5 for Kerr. Imagine a future midfield of Masten, Ebert, Rich, Sidebottom & Selwood kicking long to McKinley & Kennedy with a Hurley and Glass down back. May not make the big inroads next year, but look out.
Melbourne - There's only so much Jack Watts will do next year.
