i will be bringing in a mid 410k and under for skipworth this week. the 2 i was looking at where murphy and hayes.i think both are guns and will average 100 but who is the better pick up. i was leaning toward murphy for the simple reason hayes has to be known to get little niggling injuries and could miss a few where as murphy dosnt miss many. but after looking at the fixture the saints have 11 games left at the dome so hayes will be playing in perfect conditions most of the year and is in a gun side and dosnt get any tags. its really doing me over who to get here. thoughts?

What do people think about DDD >>>>> Cooney? It will give me 60k which I really could use.

I only have 2k in the bank and I want to trade him for Corey but it will require a downgrade, which I don't really want to do.

Thoughts????
will be looking to bring cooney in in a few weeks when hes around 300k. has struggled early on with injuries and fitness. i think he will start to fire soon when he gets back to fitness. from rounds to 10 to 22 i think he will average 90+. if you really need the 60k go for coons but if you can get a murphy/hayes/thompson/judd/power type

Of those option 3. I think Sewell could be a good unique pick. Mitchell and Hodge cop the attention.

By the way Beams has not appeared on the pies injury list - not sure what to make of it. But don't rule him out yet.

So you suggest option 3?

Yeh out of the 3 players i think Sewell would be great, he has been in ripper form and would be a great unique pick-up.

Would give me a rather nice midfield: Kornes, Gibbs, Selwood, Sewell, Pearce, Barham/Beams.

Interesting about Beams, what chance is he to line up this week though? let alone get named.

Well I've looked into my options and have come up with these options:

My Forwards are really holding me back. I have 160k in the bank.

Option 1:

Robinson/Beams->Cockie

Skipworth->Riewoldt/Pav/Chapman

Notes:
BEs: Roo:80 Pav:75 Chap:57
To be able to get Roo or Chapman, I would have ot make a downgrade, and with Beams possibly injured and Robo not getting a game, I would say that they are perfect downgrade targets. My quandry with picking up Riewoldt is that he is 10k less than Chapan, but averages 20ppg less. Pav is 70 and 80k cheaper in comparison to Roo and Chap. In consequent weeks I would make another downgrade and probably get Steve Johnson (BE of 128, Avg of 102) Should any of Harlett/Robo/Beams play, I will not cop any zeros. If I don't get Pav, he will be a target along with Buddy and SJ in coming weeks.

Option 2:

Skipworth->Gia

Monfries (don't ask)->Buddy

Notes:
BEs: Gia:90 Buddy:132
I really want to get rid of Monfries right now. He was alright last year and had hoped he might exceed expectations, or atleast hold his price, but he is dropping horribly. This would drain my bank, but uses less trades. I would then cop two zeros in the mids if two of Beams/Hartlett/Robinson don't play. My thoughts here are that Buddy still has some money to lose, and so I could pick him up much cheaper in susequent weeks if I end up doing option 1. These two picks aren't as strong as any of Pav/Roo/Chapman, but will probably score much better than Monfries. I will have to get rid of Kerr very soon as well. He, with Monfries are slowly killing me.

Thoughts?

I think he will improve over the next few weeks as well when he gets his fitness up and going. I only have $391,500 to spend. So Murphy is my only other option I am considering but he only give me an extra 3k. If I want Corey or another play around that price I will have to downgrade someone, most likely Walker.

This is my tentative 2-week plan ($27k) and unfortunately my cash cows haven't increased like I had hoped:

This week
In: Murphy
Out: Ablett

Next week
In: Cockie, Corey
Out: Robinson, Picken

Would leave me with a midfield of: Kornes, Swan, Gibbs, Corey, Murphy, Rich (Beams, Cockie)

My other alternative if I don't trade Ablett is:

TW
In: Cockie
Out: Beams

NW
In: Murphy, DeBoer
Out: Picken, Robinson

Midfield of: Ablett, Kornes, Gibbs, Swan, Murphy (Cockie, De Boer)

Thoughts?

I would like to hear more about this Monfries selection, what made you decide this was his breakout year?
His forward tag roles last year impressed me. I felt he was underrated and had the ability to be a very good DTer. Took a lot of marks, was a fair kick, that lead up half forward role can score very good points.

In hindsight he hasn't been like that at all. In that price range, I felt like he was a good option, but he has been terrible. I would've been much better off going with a rookie, such as Ziebell.

The way I see it, is that I should cut my losses ASAP. He was originally picked by me an upgrade target that I thought would atleast hold his price. Didn't work out that way.

He has the tank to be a midfielder and thought he might get a run here and there, even has the ability play the quarter back role. He himself has said that he is happy playing his role in the team, and hopes that he will get a run in the mids when it is his time.

I dunno *shrugs*

Oddsok - I essentially have the same dilemma.

Do I go from Lucas to Pac - Only cost me about $70-80k. Or go the full hog and upgrade to Riewoldt??? This would cost a fair chunk more....

If I go for Pav this week I could also do Malceski to Mackie in my backs - If I go for Roo I won't be able to afford this...

Decisions, decisions

This is my 2 week + plan. I have done some terrible noobish trades and had some injuries so I only have 14 trades left and $45 500 in the bank.

Week 1:
Ablett -> Corey/Kornes or someone else? (For cash)
(i) Petrenko -> Greenwood (Need the cash and Greenwood is another potential downgrade or emergency if need be).
or
(ii) Brown -> Mccafer (Will get me more money but Brown is likely to make me even more in the future)

Week 2:
Harding -> Mackie (Or should I hold on to Harding, is he really going to be a keeper?)
Krakouer -> Steve Johnson (Or wait for Krakouers price to keep going up?)

This should leave me with about $75000-$110000 in the bank and 10 trades with another 5 upgrades required which are:

S. Hill, Raines
Rich
Ziebell
Hentschel/Warren

That means I only have 5 trades left to make approximately $500000 (which should be easy) and to cover long term injuries :( 12 trades would put me in such a better position. If I hold on to Ablett I will save a trade which should make me more than $60000 but I don't really want $500000 sitting on my bench for 3 weeks and I only have Barham on the bench. If Barham plays this will probably be worth about 80 points a week.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

What do you guys think of

Rich to couglan
Dempsey to any defender

i dont i know rich still has mor price to rise but dempsey will go down even more
What do you think?

Hey guys, just intrested to know what you guys think i should do first to my team.

----------------

M.Brown

I got 15 trades left with 200k in the bank

I want to fix up my backline soon but i believe i can make a bit more money out of Suban and Hill first so i think i might wait. Also Hodge is still dropping a little.

In my Mids i am tempted to get Murphy for Rich this week. Worth while? get someone else/wait? Also would like to get Coughlan as i believe he will be an 80-85 scorer this season.

Still got a bit of money to make on tippett before i upgrade.

I would like to upgrade porp this week. Thinking of Pav or Franklin or maybe someone else. Who would you guys reccomend?

What should i focus on getting first?

Thanks

Need to get rid of lucas for either Gia or ROK, but dont have much money. Need to keep Suban on the bench cause he's my only cover for Petrenko who could easliy get dropped, already used Walker, which leaves Beams or M. Brown. Who should I use? Who are the best downgrade targets?

Changed my mind, not sure whether to trade out Dale Thomas or Jack Ziebell for Buddy. Thoughts?

definitely not ziebell as he has more price rises to go. i wouldnt recommend upgrading thomas to him either as you should have bigger problems in your team than dale thomas.

i have 166100 change

robinson to coughlan a good trade?
it would allow me to have someone play for ablett and also allow me to upgrade richo to chapman with around 40k change

i am a new dreamteamer so i need all the help i can get

thanks :thumbsu:

Thoughts on Adam Simpson? Has scored 4 out of 6 over 100 and a 97 also. Uses the ball poorly, so won't get tagged. Looking alright at the lower end of the premium price scale.

Need some advice on:

Beams---->Cockie
Cloke----->Steve Johnson

with 30k in the kitty

or

Petrenko---->Greenwood/Broughton
Cloke----->Jono Brown

with 26/37k in the kitty

As you should.

In my Mids i am tempted to get Murphy for Rich this week. Worth while? No, Rich probably still has another 50k or so to go up Also would like to get Coughlan as i believe he will be an 80-85 scorer this season. Not worth a trade to bring him in, too injury prone, won't be a keeper and you'd get more money out of a basement price rookie.

I would like to upgrade porp this week. Thinking of Pav or Franklin or maybe someone else. Who would you guys reccomend?

I would recommend keeping Porps and giving him time to get over his injuries. Trade Krakouer instead, he's probably close to peaking and will surely start getting tagged eventually. If you're going to trade this week, I'd go Riewoldt if you have the money, and if not either Franklin or Jonathan Brown (I'm doing Krak to Brown, but only because I plan on doing my last forward upgrade next week so I'm giving Franklin time to drop a bit more in cash after 76 and 55 scores. But if I was only planning on getting one, I'd get Franklin) I personally don't trust Pav to score will in the midfield.

Thanks

That would be another terrible noobish trade. Don't trade the best player in the game just because he's going to miss two or three matches. You say you have Barham, who should score about 50-60 a week, so doing that trade would probably make you about 150 points in the short term comparing Barham's output to Corey or Kornes's output. Ablett will come back in Round 9/10 and probably score 15 points per game more than either of those two, so you'd get 15 x 12 = 180 points, and that's not even including the extra points you'd get from having Ablett captain. Definitely not worth wasting a trade on.
