yeah walker should play every game which i think is more important than a slightly higher scorer on average.

my question is whether jono brown is too risky a player to get?
only good player i can afford and it would only mean:
brown
vs
a 0 for a week + sidey or ballantyne hopefully playing for a few weeks after + sj/didak/chapman for the rest of the year after that

i think it is the right thing to trade him in but just wondering if people think he could average 95+ for the remainder of the year?

Browny always has a massive purple patch in the middle of the year where he averages 115. All the signs show that he is about to enter this phase.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with this...

In my backline, I want to trade out Grimes and Lake. They are virtually the same price. Their averages are similar. I want to trade one of them out for Ellis. Which one should I trade?

Keep in mind that Lake regularly scores 50 in a half and 15 in the other, while Grimes showed huge potential in his first few games, but failed to deliver since.

Thanks everyone.

who should i get rid of rich for?
swan, ablett, montagna or hayes??

Swan's been in fantastic form but I'd go with Hayes as he's been consistant all year and he's cheaper because he's a tackling machine along with a ball bagnet. Montagna is a great choice too but Ablett is a little too injury-prone and inconsistant for my tastes. He racked in 29 disposals against Freo but only scored 76 because 24 of those disposals were handballs. That in my eyes is a bad dream-teamer.

Lenny Hayes or Jimmy Bartel?

Thoughts?

Lenny Hayes for sure. For the last few games, Bartel has been getting above 100 through junktime as opposed to the whole game and with Ablett in the team his scoring potential isn't very high.

Hey guys its guna hav to be my last 2 trades leaving me with 4 unfortunately, im looking at sidebottom/walker - balantyne then zeibell - didak

what do u think

I think you should stop posting your crap team on every page of this thread, it's bloody annoying :mad:

Hodge or Ellis? Was leaning towards Ellis but now with Hodge been named in the middle im tempted to go him. Who would you guys pick?

just because he was named in the middle doesnt mean he will play there. His best work is down back IMO marshalling his troops.

Just did Houlihan > Ellis
He's putting up good numbers so far. hopefully he can keep it up. Will do Cornes to Goddard next week.

Did the same trade, Houli-Ellis, but in supercoach. I reasoned that Ellis is less injury prone, and will cop less tags that Hodge. Here's hoping he brings up a century for me this weekend...

eyy guys was tempted to trade sidebottom to a 75300 this week and upgrade nahas to steve j. WHat does everyone think? Is it to early to upgrade nahas? Will he go up that much more in price?

Sounds like a good trade, i think Steele has nearly peaked and i wouldn't expect him back in the team for a few weeks. However, Stevie J is carrying a 62 from 2 weeks ago so he could drop in price this week (He scored 130 last week and dropped in price)

As for my team, how do these trades sound anyone?

OUT: Salopek and Ziebell
IN: Kirk/K.Cornes/S.Thompson and J.Brown

Which mid should i go for $422k?

After doing a downgrade I will have about 170K.

With this, I can either.

Upgrade Coughlan to Hayes/Murphy/Tuck

Or

Upgrade Houlihan to Enright/Lockyer/Ellis/Hodge

If I don't upgrade Coughlan I'll have to play Muston on the field. So, it comes down to who will score the least on the weekend - Houlihan or Muston? Then I have to factor in the fact that Houlihan will go down in price, whilst Coughlan obviously wont.

Personally i'd get rid of Houlihan. Hasn't been producing decent scores and his new role (forward tag on fisher the other week) isn't not dream team gold at all.

At what point do people considering an injury long-term?
I've got Boak and the port site says he's still got another 4 weeks. Worth a sideways trade? Thinking of going to Green.

I would go Kane Cornes, Very consistent because he never gets tagged

With all due respect, this statement belies a certain lack of DT nous. One could look at your statement and turn it on its head to arrive at the opposite decision.

Guys I have 5 trades left and 170k in the bank and I dont know whether or not I should trade Houlihan to Ellis or Krakouer to Deledio...thoughts?

i think krakouer to deledio has less chance of turning out bad than the first one.

cheney -> pearce
sidey -> j brown

I NOW HAVE SEVEN FREMANTLE PLAYERS!!
lord save me

Keep in mind, lately, Bartel has gotten the majority of his points in the last quater during junktime. I'm just giving a suggestion because I think Lenny Hayes is a better choice as he just keeps on chasing the ball and tackling. Not to mention, he's looking durable this year and of all the DT midfielders I like, Lenny Hayes would definitely be second on the list. (First being Swan but I started with him :p)

Lids.

The difference between Ellis and Houlihan is not worth the pain having lower end Port players will be during the run in, and the scoring potential Lids has.

---

I ask this with 100% seriousness.

With Petrenko as my other back reserve, Pearce or Presti?

Hey people... I need some help...

Who is likely to get the call up... and thus be a better back up in a few weeks.,

Cheney or Petrenko - trying to decide who to upgrade.

edit -

I am either going to trade Cheney/petrenko to a back premium... to stop a 0 or

Warren > Forward Premium and cop Cox 0 and drummond 0...

ARHHH Help.

Upgrading Hartlett, can get anyone. I have bartel, corey, swan, dalsanto, kornes. Don't really want ablett for multiple reasons, who would people get? Hayes, montagna, murphy, mitchell??
