Big club that got relegated. Will be playing in the Europa League as they were runners up in their cup competition.

Supposedly on massive money compared to his Roar wages.

As Selective Retention said- big, big holes to fill up front now. That's about 25 goals gone from the squad between those two.

Yep two big players for us last year. Obviously Kofi Danning is taking one of the spots, so hopefully they will fill the other with a good player. A rumour that probably has no truth to it at all is some Spanish kid on loan from Liverpool Daniel Pacheco or something.

Bah, can't believe he did that against the mighty Boro :D Haven't played FM for a couple of years now, what was last seasons like?

Mckain to AUFC is the rumour i heard today

2 horse race next season imo between MVFC and AUFC

Australia defender Jon McKain has reportedly signed a three-year deal with A-League club Adelaide United.

McKain, who can also adapt to the holding midfielder's role, was released by Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr Riad last weekend.

McKain was initially signed by Al Nasr Riad's coach - former Italy international Walter Zenga - last year, before being axed at Christmas.

If confirmed, McKain will join a growing group of players who once played for Queensland-based clubs.

Already among the Reds squad are ex-Gold Coast United pair, striker Bruce Djite and midfielder Zenon Caravella, former Brisbane Roar players Dario Vidosic, Spase Dilevski and Sergio van Dijk and former North Queensland Fury player Osama Malik.

McKain is tipped to arrive in Adelaide on Wednesday.

Good signing if they get him.

Where were Victory here? Why wouldn't we be enquiring about a CB that would clearly enhance our backline?

To potentially answer my own question, I have heard that the club are expecting Franjic to be in their starting 11. He looks likely but still....

Nah still plenty of time to sell Carlos, buy Marvin.

Adelaide are looking pretty good. The a-league is impossible to tip though, no one in their right mind would have had a Brisbane/CCM grand final quinella pre season last year.

Melbourne Heart FC’s brigade of samba stars has expanded to three following the signing of Brazilian striker Maycon Carvalho Inez.

The 24-year-old has joined Heart on a one-year deal and becomes the Club’s fifth signing this off-season following the acquisition of fellow Brazilian Fred, David Williams, Mate Dugandzic and Curtis Good.

Three Brazilians at a Melbourne club? Well I never... :p

It'll probably work out the same way as Victory anyway. One will be a gun, one will be okay and one wil be a dud.

Hopefully we can get Fyfe back as well then our starting 11 is looking epically awesome :D watch out :p

Fred and Terra have both proven they can cut it at this level, looks as though Maycon will be the dud. Hoping he can prove that theory wrong though! Either way, god I can't wait for October!

Dean Bouzanis to Victory has fallen through. MV officialls didn't take kindly to his twittering and disagreed about release clauses.

As that_dood said, he would have been on the bench anyway so he needs to find a club where he is going to be playing.

What? You mean he shouldn't have said he was at Nandos with the boys?
