Will this league ever get back to its hey day in the 90s when it was the best league in the world?

Can I just mention Fabio Cannavarro is in Perth at the moment. He was supposed to give the cup to winning captain in the local Cup Final on Saturday but was only hired until 5pm. Because the match went in to extra time he took off and didn't bother hanging around which pissed off all the local Italians and people who pretend they're Italian who showed up to see him. He probably took off to the International Room at the Casino to bet big money with his Arab bosses. Grazie Fabio..

He walked out on to the pitch at half time and was wearing a shell suit, he looked like he was from Dundee or Liverpool.

Anyhoo, go Napoli, hopefully they can push one of the northern teams to the wire again.

AC to win it, Juve to get back into the top 4.

Juve made great signings - Vidal, Vucinic, Ziegler, Pirlo, Lichtsteiner. They really needed some fullbacks and got some decent ones in who have proven themselves in the Serie A. Matri should score plenty as he showed in the months he was there when he signed in January this year and Quagiarella is back from the long term injury after he was in dynamite form. Still need a left winger though, went after Bastos and Vargas. If they got Vargas, I'd tip them to fight AC Milan pretty hard for the Serie A title.

Also re: Cannavaro, what a tool. I think there's a game tomorrow night as well with him, Grafite etc.

anyone know what the tv coverage is like this season? i heard espn and one HD has dropped coverage so i'm not sure if there is any coverage

There is a strong suspicion amongst giallorossi fans that Luis Enrique is in fact a shit coach. Getting knocked out of Europe by Bratislava certainly doesn't do anything in negating those thoughts.

The Americans don't know what they're doing. At least we signed Kjaer today.

Oh, and week one of the season has been cancelled.

Had a bit of a horror run under Steve McClaren last season and Wolfsburg took a step back as a club. Was only there for one season.

Andrea Pirlo makes a huge difference for Juventus.
Shame Milan let him go.

Plus 1 watched the Parma game.... Very impressive and respect to conte
He's built a team around a 32 year old and it may just work...

Ppl always forget he's just as good as xavi but the Italian football stigma denies him that respect...

Maybe Prandelli will do with pirlo in brazil what domonech did with zizou in Germany ?

I still remember the quaterfinal between Italy and Spain in 2000 Sydney Olympics. Gee they were so young at that time and played elite football.
I know these two players will play beautiful games from time to time. And if I'm not wrong before Guadiola took over Barca, Pirlo got more recognition than Xavi especially after 2006 world cup. People talked more Ronaldinho when mentioning Rijkaard's Barca.

Ranieri to becomes Inters 4th coach in the space of a year. So much for stability .

Surely Moratti's decision making will come under question
