2011 Ladder Predictions - Part 2

Just wont happen. If you expect St Kilda, Geelong and the Bulldogs to fall that much, you are delusional. Each of them has way too much talent to even fall out of the 8.

Gold Coast and Brisbane will both be bottom 4. Not in the 8. Let alone the top 4 where you have GC.

I would like to hear your reasoning for dropping each of the cats, saints and bulldogs out of the 8?

Because he is a young kid man, give him a break, I was like that when I was a young fella too, thought the Bulldogs would finish top 4 every year.

im not a child, in my late 20's. i genuinely think this is how things will pan out.

If you genuinely think this is how things will pan out, would you care to answer my question as to why you think Geelong, St Kilda and the Bulldogs will fall so much?

The worst ones are those who have Hawthorn anywhere near the top 4.

Hawthorn aren't as good as people are making out. The bookies have them 3rd favourite for the flag and a lot of people are convinced their window is opening up again. I don't think we are quite there in 2011, but in 2012 we should challenge again. 5th to 10th would be right for us this year.

However, despite Hawthorn being overrated, it is much more realistic to say will finish top 4 as opposed to saying Essendon can finish 5th or 6th. Essendon are on the right track, but it will probably be a long time until you finish a season as high as 5th, as there is a lot of rebuilding to do at that club.

You lost to Richmond by 50 points at home last year.

correct, we also beat Adelaide twice at home last year.

What I mean is that, it's hard for us to finish bottom because of the home advantage we have for half the year. West Coast players just couldn't kick.

Essendon made the 8 circa 18 months ago and Hawthorn finished 10th at the same time. Anything can happen. I just won't be doing my ladder prediction based on a HUN report.

No bet. I have no idea how Essendon will go. If our players are fit and if they run both ways there is no reason they can't finish 6th despite what the BF hordes say.

Are Collingwood the most gifted team in the competition? Champion team beats a team of champions.
I see your point; but you don't go from being one of the slackest teams to one of the most well-drilled over one off-season and 6 or 8 list changes.

About 8 spots too high

yep you're right, every single non-WCE poster in this thread has it all messed up with Melb and WC in switched positions. How did that happen!?

you might get lucky and GC will keep you from backing up that spoon

it must give you the s--ts to read about Melbourne, Richmond and North's brilliant young sides when you have only the fijian fizzer and Chris 'the Godson' Masten to look forward to

enjoy a s--t decade mate
