2011 Ladder Predictions - Part 2

It is going to be an awesome year.

I don't think Collingwood are that far ahead of the pack (if at all). Certainly not on talent, but they are very well coached. Can see a nice hangover setting in.

Geelong and Saints still have the two best lists and will go down swinging.

North and Melbourne should find a spot in the 8 on the back of excitng young lists

essendon will be horrible as Hird tries to erase their softness

Gold Coast to avoid the spoon

1. Geelong
2. St Kilda
3. Hawthorn

yep you're right, every single non-WCE poster in this thread has it all messed up with Melb and WC in switched positions. How did that happen!?

you might get lucky and GC will keep you from backing up that spoon

it must give you the s--ts to read about Melbourne, Richmond and North's brilliant young sides when you have only the fijian fizzer and Chris 'the Godson' Masten to look forward to

enjoy a s--t decade mate

Mate, your team hasn't won a flag in about 50 years and the last four years you've finished 14th, 16th, 16th and 12th.

The MFC arrogance on here is astounding.

Still think Collingwood are streets ahead of the rest of the competition.

Bulldogs, Freo and the Hawks to make up the top 4.

Stkilda to finish next best.

Gold coast will finish bottom.

Then its a blanket over the rest of the comp with Injuries, player improvement and luck deciding the ladder positions.

Injuries will play a big part to the ladder positions but here goes.
In groups rather than positions.

Do you seriously believe, with no bias, that Gold Coast in their first year, massive favs for the spoon with a team full of first year players are going to end up higher than a team that at least won 7 games last year?

Yeah, sorry nothing against Essendon but I think this is going to be an impossibly tough year for you guys with adjustments in team structure and gameplan.

I think Gold Coast will surprise a few, the Muffin heads at AFL headquarters would have planned to ensure the new boys don't fail so hard- They do have some quality experienced players among those first year players. And the new players themselves are not exactly the worst bunch.

It's fine mate and makes no difference to me or my club what anyone on here thinks but i just can not believe GC could finish above us or probably any team.

They have some reasonable experienced players but not a that many real guns and what happens when they get injuries to them?

The kids might be talented but they will have waaay too many to see out a season at AFL level and i doubt they will finish above any team.

1 - Collingwood
2 - Adelaide
3 - Western Bulldogs
4 - Fremantle
5 - Geelong
6 - Melbourne
7 - Sydney
8 - Gold Coast

9 - Hawthorn
10 - St.Kilda
11 - North Melbourne
12 - Essendon
13 - Port Adelaide
14 - West Coast
15 - Carlton
16 - Richmond
17 - Brisbane

Ive thrown a few unusual ones in there, because the ladder is always a lot different to what people expect.

youve just given Vlad a stiff one there Dan with GC in 8th & while that happening is as unlikely as the pies finishing minor premiers, each year does bring its surprises & those would be as jaw dropping as any

Unlike every man and his dog around here I haven't got my club in the finals so I think I have a balanced and unbiased ladder prediction:

St Kilda
Collingwood
Fremantle
Hawthorn
W Bulldogs
Carlton
Geelong
North Melbourne

Sydney
Adelaide
Melbourne
Port Adelaide
Brisbane
West Coast
Gold Coast
Essendon
Richmond

1.Collingwood-as much as i hate them they are a fair way ahead of the rest
2.Geelong-new coach will invigorate them
3.StKilda-one word, Reiwoldt
4.Fremantle-on the up will be hard to beat at home
5.Bulldogs-can see them sliding down but still comfortable finalists
6.Carlton-strong midfield but need more from defence and forward line to climb any higher
7.Adelaide-will bounce back after a horror 2010
8.Nth Melb-up and comers will pip a couple of others for last spot in the 8

9.Melbourne-will keep improving but not quite enoough for finals this year
10.Hawthorn-overrated.
11.Richmond- big improvers but nowhere near good enough for finals yet
12.Port-Can see them improving under Primus but lack of Key forwards will hurt them
13.Essendon-same as port. Wouldnt completely surprise if they were to sneak in the 8
14.Sydney-will slip without the messiah Paul Roos
15.West Coast-not as bad as the last 2!
16.Brisbane-Rebuilding time for the lions
17.Gold Coast-will struggle to win a game this year

1 - Collingwood
2 - Adelaide
3 - Western Bulldogs
4 - Fremantle
5 - Geelong
6 - Melbourne
7 - Sydney
8 - Gold Coast
9 - Hawthorn
10 - St.Kilda
11 - North Melbourne
12 - Essendon
13 - Port Adelaide
14 - West Coast
15 - Carlton
16 - Richmond
17 - Brisbane

Ive thrown a few unusual ones in there, because the ladder is always a lot different to what people expect.

Now, it's good to change things around a bit, but 15th looks like wishful thinking on your part!
