Re: Round 11 Trades

Giving Burgoyne one more week, so ended up going :
Tapscott > Mzungu
Krakouer > Sylvia

12 Trades left and $462,800 in the bank.

Next week should go something like this:

Darling > Fyfe/Chapman (depending on form this week and health....)
Harris > Priddis/Pendlebury/Ablett

Re: Round 11 Trades

M/F, $91K, and probably good JS in the Crows.

Need a back premium (Goddard, Gibbs, Enright, Newman, Deledio and non-premium friends LOL)

Shaw - should I wait for bye?
Suckling - JS? feel bad paying premium price for initial mid-pricer)
Broughton/Duffield - nice price but can't tell with current form
Adcock- similar to Suckling about price and would always be worried he plays
Fisher/Scotland - abit pricey and too many Saints/Blues
Ricci Lake - JS (in terms of annoying the coach) and will have to wait
Gilbee - form?
Malceski - yeh right :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: (for last year)

Pretty much got no idea right now :confused::confused::confused:
In true prompt fashion, wot about johncock or chaplin or grundy, other than those shaw and fisher are the best of the list but is a unique something your chasing????

Re: Round 11 Trades

Dixon out.

Johnno Brown in.

I cannot believe only 2.2% of teams own Brown.

A champion player shouldn't be this unique.

Might have had something to do with having his face smashed in and being out for eight weeks.... :p

On the form he has shown in the last couple along with his scoring potential for the rest of the season as well as his current cheap price i would be getting Broughton. Although your situation is a bit different but if the people ranked around you don't have him I would jump on him:thumbsu:

Re: Round 11 Trades

Upgrade of Libba this week....

Boyd - Priddis - Ablett?

leaning towards ablett but consistency hasnt been great. looked like he was carrying something early though seems to have disappeared after watching their last two.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Ablett or Scott Thompson

Ablett $30k higher price, no byes left. Scores been up and down.
Thompson Super consistent, bye in no SC League week. Higher ave score.

Concerned about talk Ablett may be rested later in the year? Then again, he is a gun and had ability to knock up some big scores. Thompson has done that a coupla times too though.

Help, going mental with this stuff!

Hi Badga, sorry you might have missed the memo. Nobody is allowed to get Broughton since I traded the hack out a fortnight ago because he was doing NOTHINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG. Now he's responded with 90 odd and 120 odd, and that's not fair. So, thanks, I'd appreciate you respecting the rule. Nobody is allowed to get Broughts.
Regards,
Faz

Re: Round 11 Trades

Ok my team..
DEF - SHAW GIBBS GODDARD LOWER DUIGAN BUCKLEY PUOPOLO
(MCKERNAN MARKOVIC TOY)

MID - SWAN JUDD PENDLES SELWOOD DELEDIO SWALLOW
(HIBBERD PRESTIA SMITH)

RUCK - SANDI COX (Z.SMITH BAILEY)

FWD - GOODES J ROO N ROO FRANKLIN PAV CHAPMAN DARLING
(LYNCH MZUNGU RICHARDSON)

I have 1 trade left this week + cash to get anyone so where should I upgrade? Get rid of Duigan for a premium DEF? Or add Ablett (or someone else) to the MIDS and upgrade Duigan next week?

Look to get Deledio into your backs somehow. Not sure why you have him in the mids. Jacobs (Port) has already had one price rise but may be worth considering.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Went out: Libba and Krakouer

In: Green Ablett

Hated bringing in Chapman last week.

Re: Round 11 Trades

After much delibertion i have decided not to pull the trade trigger this week due to lack of good downgrade options. Also i have an easy league game this week.

Will take the extra week to have a look at these first gamers and hopefully snag a good one. Then upgrade a backline player to Fisher next week

Re: Round 11 Trades

Atley -> Dal Santo
Conca -> Mzungu

Midfield: Selwood, Pendlebury, Judd, Priddis, Dal Santo, Swan.

Not too shabby.

I’ve been weighing this decision up all week. Thing is if I get Thompson this week I should have enough cash next week to get Mundy, completing my midfield in two trades. If I get Ablett it means I’ll have to downgrade someone next week to have the cash for Mundy.

Personally I really dont think Ablett is going to give much more than Thompson, however he is a proven gun and having him just “feels” better. Go with your gut.

He usually is in my backs, just moved him around this week to put a full team on the pitch. With 600k in the bank, you still think Jacobs a good trade, instead of buying another premium?

Re: Round 11 Trades

On the Thompson v Ablett decision.

Thompson has a bye left, although it's during a non-league week if you don't mind about your overall result. He is averaging close to 30 points more per game than he did last season, and the one before that which to me is a worrying sign. He could well fall back into the 90s average from here on as he tires from being really the only regular tough bodied Adelaide inside midfielder. He carries a lot of the load at Adelaide. Adelaide have a relatively easy run home, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him rested if they are out of final contention at the end of the year. Having said that, he's on fire this year, and doing well in a struggling team, so if Adelaide turn it around he might be well worth the risk.

Ablett has proven he's a gun even in a very weak team getting smashed. The SC guys love him, and it's hard to see his average going down too much. He will be rested at the absolute slightest sign of a niggle, because GC aren't in the running this year or next. He has his byes out of the way, but I wouldn't be surprised if he misses a few games from here on, which he did occasionally even at Geelong. In the last three years at a dominant club he played 21, 19 and 18 games.

His previous history is unparalleled in SC.

2010: 129
2009: 140
2008: 132

GC will improve as the year goes on, and so will he. I think I'd go Ablett on balance.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Pulled the trigger on Matera -> Mzungu & Liberatore -> Ablett (who I've made Captain).
Pretty happy with that and am looking forward to getting in Newman next week and Swan after the Colliwobble bye :D

What does JS mean anyone

Thanks in advance

Re: Round 11 Trades

Hi all,

D. Harris / Libba / Savage

to

Hodge / Pendlebury

Looking to upgrade a mid, obviously, but not sure which route to go.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Traded Libba to mzungu

Now upgrading Savage

Not sure what mid to pick up tho, thinking either Hodge, Ablett, Mundy or Thompson

Currently have Swan, Pendles, M Murphy, Boak and Swallow in mids

Help would be appreciated
