Re: Round 11 Trades

Some food for thought for many of the people on here trying to decide between Ablett, Mundy, Pendlebury, Selwood, Boyd etc etc etc as next "big in keeper" in MID.

Priddis has scored 100+ in 20 of his last 28 games in last and current season. With 13 of those being 120+

Enjoy doing ya head in now over it some more now! :p

Re: Round 11 Trades

Traded Libba to mzungu

Now upgrading Savage

Not sure what mid to pick up tho, thinking either Hodge, Ablett, Mundy or Thompson

Currently have Swan, Pendles, M Murphy, Boak and Swallow in mids

Help would be appreciated

Mundy will probably drop this week with his BE, so Ablett or Thompson...having the same dilemma choosing between the two myself.

On quick calculations.

Ablett last year and this. 21 of 28 over 100. 15 being 120+.

Just saying.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Fair call. That's pretty tight considering...

True indeed.

Here's another one for ya.

14 of the 21 are 150+

Different story this year I know, but nice numbers none the less.

Edit - scrap that - sorry was looking at the wrong column in FF.

Actually only 7. Oops. :)

Was gonna say! 14 of the 21 are 150+ would be phenomenal!

Re: Round 11 Trades

Yes but 3 of the 6 under 100 he pulled THIS year.

That's why I said "Different story this year I know".

Just pointing out some numbers to help people decide who they want.

Edit - And it's actually 3/7 under 100 this year and 4/21 last year - for the record.

Oops missed that, I guess the other thing to come into calculation is he didn’t have much of a preseason so a slow start was always on the cards and he should get better as he goes on.

That's cool - didn't mean to sound abrupt.

Yeah that's true and as others have mentioned he may be rested as the year goes on, but I'm not sure about that either. I would have thought they would want to play their main asset as much as they can, but it's a mystery to us all.

Who knows what the future holds, but I am prepared to back him. He is a champion player and even though he is in a losing side most weeks, I still think he is capable of some massive scores. Of course I am a little biased having watched him so closely over the years, but by the same token I guess I should know a little about him by now. :)

The good thing is there are plenty of mid options out there so if you think the risk is too great, you can just pick someone safer.

Re: Round 11 Trades

B: Carrazzo Deledio Gibbs Adcock Goddard Shaw Broughton (Pedersen, Watson, Toy)
C: Ablett Pendlebury Thompson Selwood Iles Hibberd (Callinan, Jacobs, I. Smith)
R: Cox Sandilands (Z. Smith, Campbell)
F: Franklin Rioli Goodes Sylvia Pavlich O'Keefe J Riewoldt (Maric*, McKernan, Mzungu)

$100,000 in the kitty, ten trades. Next move will be Maric downgraded to a base price player (not sure whom yet and Iles up to Boyd. Then McKernan/Toy/Jacobs down to Xavier Clarke and Hibberd up to Swan after that Round 13 bye.

Round 14 team:

B: Carrazzo Deledio* Gibbs* Adcock* Goddard* Shaw Broughton* (Pedersen*, Watson*, Toy*/Playing Rookie)
C: Ablett Pendlebury* Thompson Selwood Boyd Swan (Callinan, Jacobs, I. Smith*)
R: Cox* Sandilands* (Z. Smith*, Campbell*)
F: Franklin* Rioli* Goodes* Sylvia* Pavlich O'Keefe J Riewoldt (Playing Rookie, McKernan*/Playing Rookie, Mzungu)

Asterisks are players I've had since the start.

6 trades left, finished team. Enough left in the bank (maybe) to tinker around come finals (Gibbs, Carrazzo, Broughton upgraded to Fisher, J Riewoldt to SJ, etc). Very happy.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Pulled the trigger on my trades.

Harris > Pendlebury
Sandi > Bailey

M: Swan, Pendlebury, Boyd, Mundy, Judd, Selwood.

so that's that done.

****ing umm'd and ahhh'd big time over trading out Sandi for now. Never downgraded a premium like that before. But after using some of the money to bring in Pavlich and Newman next week i'll probably feel better. lol

Nice! Would of loved Murphy / Judd to start with... stupid league games playing with structure!

Re: Round 11 Trades

I think I'll go:

Tapscott <> Mzungu
Harris <> S. Thompson

That will complete my midfield (no Swan!) and my team will look like:

B: Scotland, Deledio, Shaw, Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Lower (Duigan, Stanley, Batchelor)
C: Pendlebury, Mundy, Boyd, S Thompson, Judd, J Selwood (Jacobs, I Smith, Irons)
R: Cox, Petrie (Z Smith, Bailey)
F: Franklin, Pavlich, Harvey, Goodes, N Riewoldt, Darling, Krakouer (Matera, Richardson, Mzungu)

13 trades and $214,400 in the bank.

Probably Darling <> Sylvia next week.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Sorry to say again but do you guys think that its wise too:
blow all my money on a Prem defender like Fisher/H Shaw or save 100K and get someone like Enright/Broughton ??

Post your whole team, number of trades left, cash in the bank, whether you're going for overall or league win, and we'll be able to help you. It's hard to make a call like you're asking us to without knowing your whole situation.

Personally in complete isolation, I'd get Enright at a bargain price, but you have to factor in how many Cats you have, and how badly you'll miss him during finals.

cheers, fair enough. Team for this week (OUCH:eek:)

Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, R Murhpy, Lower, Stanley, Hibberd
(Deledio, Newman, Tarrant)

Pendlebury, Swan, Judd, Bartel, Harris, Jacobs
(Watson, Foley, I Smith)

Cox, Z Smith (Sandi, Derickx)

Franklin, O'keefe, Chapman, N Roo, Darling, Lynch, Mzungu Chapman
(J Roo, Hurley, C richardson)

11 trades, $208K in the bank

That's what happens when you have 4 Richmond players:eek:
Could trade out Hurley this week to save from 0 to say Rioli and then next week still have $100k left to upgrade Stanley to Enright

Re: Round 11 Trades

Ended up bringing in S. Thompson for Liberatore (as well as Delaney for Batchelor, unsure about Delaney but I needed to downgrade) completing my midfield of:

S. Thompson, Swan, Ablett, Judd, Selwood, Bolton.

Re: Round 11 Trades

Just said, "Stuff it!"

D. Swallow > T. Mzungu
then
S. McKernan > H. Grundy

9 trades left, $82, 400 in the bank.
