Re: Player X v Player Y

Caddy + Clarke + Morris v Pfieffer + Lake + Clarke/Morris

First one. Lake at best will average around 75, i feel Caddy will have a huge season and average around 85-90, Morris and Pfieffer will average around the same, so i would go with the first option.

Dickson vs Hall

Re: Player X v Player Y

I'm unsure of the lake vs hargrave, i'm going hargrave purely because of age, bit cheaper and appears to have had a better preseason. I think they are both winners, so i just picked hargrave for that bit of extra coin. Although, despite Lake's low scores he looked in pretty good touch imo.

You must be picking Dustin Fletcher

Re: Player X v Player Y

Hmmm stuck on.

Grimes v Waters

Both have injury concerns. but leaning waters because he looks like he could play the loose man in defense role during the preseason

Re: Player X v Player Y

And what are you going to do if none of those guys get selected till round 10?

This is why im asking, the people in the know about their own clubs and rookies.

Obviously you are in the same boat as me. No idea when they will return.

Re: Player X v Player Y

McEvoy/Giles
or
Jacobs/Giles

and why?

McEvoy..... Should get the bulk of the ruck work, perhaps more consistent scoring. Not sure if a Ruck in a side that will get killed most weeks will get a score that will complement Giles. Besides Giles is that ruck in a side that will get killed most weeks. Do you want 2 rucks in your side like that?

I suppose the Saint's preseason hasn't exactly filled us with confidence either...

Guthrie V Hargrave V M Clarke

Re: Player X v Player Y

OK so right now Duffield and Waters are my 3rd and 4th backs with Hargrave, Ellis and Bugg rounding it out.

My mids are Pendle, Ablett, Boyd and Watson - rest are rookies.

Is it worth downgrading duffman to Lake or Golby etc and bringing in Swan for Watson?
Or is that just overkill in mids and too weak in backs?

I'm just scared of missing out on Swan is he goes BANG! while i really don't want to give up any of the other mids.

Cheers.

Now that you know Bugg is going to avg 103 i think you can weaken your backline with that known and strengthen the mids and get Swanny in.

Haha, while he's shown a bit in 1 game i'm not relying on him for scores like that again.

I do take your point though, maybe I will do it, durability of swan another positive.

Re: Player X v Player Y

Hargrave will score the most out of those three and has better JS but he also costs more. If you have the money then i would go with him.

Mitchell v Murphy?

Both are pretty even. Guaranteed guns. I'd lean towards Murphy slightly due to Mitchell missing more games over the years.

Re: Player X v Player Y

SJ & Porps

Or

Gray & Dangerfield

I would go Gray/Danger from those - I reckon that combo will average 10ppg more than SJ/Porps

Who should I go out of Danger/Gray/Robinson
I was leaning towards Gray as a bit of a unique pick - Danger looks like he may score similarily but is a lower price but he has burnt for a couple of years so am quite reluctant. I can also afford Robinson but will he score higher than these other two for that extra price?
