Important 2013 Dream Team Club Board Championships information

Last year the Collingwood Board (Magpies DT) were the inaugural premiers, defeating the Geelong Board (Cats DT) 10-8 in the grand final. All 18 players from the winning league received BFSC memberships and winners tags (

). Now it's your club board's chance to win the flag.

What your board needs to do NOW:

1. Ensure you have at least one full league of 18 players. If so, skip to step 3.
2. If you are yet to collate a full league, you can check 2012 BigFooty rankings here.
3. Most club boards have multiple leagues based on 2012 ranking. Please make sure your top/only league is named BigFooty [Mascot] 1 (Note: the league creator is the only person who can edit this title. It can be done where you change your team name).
4. Paste the following information regarding your top league in the Dream Team Club Board Championships thread ASAP:

BigFooty name - Dream Team team name - 2012 ranking (if you have it) - 2013 team ID (need to wait until Round 1)​

For example:​

1. SJ - Upside SCE - 1,234 - 4321​

This year, team IDs will only be able to be collected after Round 1. Please keep in touch on this matter, they are vital to the running of this competition. ​

Hope you like your Port players, they've got a few players worth looking at.

Down back in Pittard, Stevenson,Heath and Goodes from the Dogs seems like the other backline rookie worth jumping on.

Mids there are plenty of options from Whitefield, Wines, Mitchell, Crouch, O'Mera, Viney etc

Rucks are iffy, Blicavs from Geelong may get games early with no McIntosh and potentially West or Vardy either I don't think. Currie from North could be alright although they seem pretty happy with playing the one ruck (in Goldstein).

Forwards just suck, Macaffer seems like the best and Neade from Port looks like he'll get games (but hasn't shown much on the scoring front).

I'm looking forward to seeing how Div.1 go in the Club Board competition. Post an update from your league (1,2,3 or 4) in this thread to let us know how you are going. Div 2 are going quite well. We're the 266th ranked league.

We currently have 4 players ranked inside the top 5,000
VanR88 (Me!) 177, dbcrow - 1,466, Glenno23 - 2,832, BigStein - 4,001. A very even league overall.

Was 350th after the first week. Dropped to 1466 after Round 2.

My strategy - take no notice of DT for the entire off season, and then copy an "experts" team with an hour to go before lockout.

It's served me well so far, even though I couldn't name half the players in my team

I thought i'd update this thread as well. The entry to our Division 1 DreamTeam league was very high at 6,279 which I knew would make this league very competitive in this competition. Currently our board is 3rd overall.

I'm currently 327, thankfully have won my eliminator this week thanks to Mitchell. Last year I over analysed the byes and got caught carrying injured players. First time in about 8 years I was out of the top 10,000.

Ranks are a yearly thing, sometimes you can still be a good player but have a terrible year.

In SC I've had 3 to 4 figure rankings for the last 5 years but sit 23k deep this year. I'm only starting to turn it around in DT.

A lot of progress can still be made up over the last 7 rounds. In fact that is when I personally make the most progress in years gone by.
