After Blight, Alves and Capuano would you seriously let another North person go to that club? Trading Luke would be massive mistake in my opinion, he is going to monster some big forwards in the future.

Absolutely agree. He must stay for depth reasons minimum, I still think he could have an impact in years to come.
I reckon it depends what we can get for him. If he plays well for the next few weeks, a team may offer a high second or late first round pick. West Coast were willing to part with a first rounder for Hooker ffs! If we could get a quality mid and LMAC, it would be a great result.
Key position depth isn't an issue with our list atm.

In all likelihood Kennedy will be delisted at the end of the year.
Thompson, Hansen and Thompson are best 22.
Grima has significant injury concerns.
If we trade L Delaney we only have Cam as back up. That isn't enough if u ask me.
We could always play Tarrant or Curren back if we had a bad run with injuries. Up forward we have Daw, Dish, Black, Curren, Wood, Currie.
We need some quality, quick mids to replace Boomer and Wells on the outside. Looks as though there'll be a few available in this years crop.

Even if you take his name out of that list, we still have depth.
I'm not saying we should definitely trade car keys (terrible nickname ), but if the chance presents itself we should consider it.

I agree with you. I like Keys and I think he is a very good depth player but if it meant getting a draft pick that brought someone like D.Garlett in i'd definitely consider it.

I am looking to put together a phantom draft and am interested in the type of players North supporters think your club needs to take in this years draft. I dont know the North list well, but I would have thought you have good depth in KPD ad KPF stocks, and have decent current ruck options, so more so looking at mids, utilities and flankers that can set up play from HB. What type of players do you think your club should target in the draft:
Priority 1: Best available mid (inside or outside ??)
Priority 2: best available mid or utility
Priority 3: maybe a third tall forward or small forward/mid (development)
Where are the deficiencies in your list or the players you need to recruit now to plan for the future.
I am more interested in the type of players your club might be looking to target rather than naming potential draft targets.

Yup, I'd trade goldy and tarrant to get pick 1, and take Boyd. That would free up some cap space and I'd go spend that on getting Thomas as a free agent. Natural progression of our midfield, throw in daisy, and McDonald, and we'd be a real force. Reckon create a lot of interest and membership sales too,,,,a massive leap forward for the club.
We may well end up with 2 picks in the top 25.
Outside mids/ball carriers. In all honesty though they should be targeting ready made players via free agency and/or trade. Have enough youth and by the time the kids from the last couple of drafts develop (let alone this years) the mature age guns will be ready for retirement. Although I wouldn't rule out boomer to set another record ....father/son in the same team!

small lockdown defender and long term ruck prospect would also be on the agenda assuming that Ben mabon doesn't get another shot.
