Has Mitchell been elevated yet? Is he going to be elevated?

few questions to ask in regard to ultimate footy. All 3 of Daniel stewart, Stevenson and Heath have still not been drafted. Few questions,
1 what do you exepct from daniel stewart this year? can he average around the 70ish mark. he seems to be improving slowly and might be in for a good year, but he needs a bit more midfield time. Where will he play do you think?

Also, who would you think would be the higher DT scorer out of stevenson and Heath? I know its hard to predict but any opinion would be somewhat helpful. Is it too much to assume that one of them could average 70-75?

Stewart is by no means a lock in the best 22. Avoid.

Stevenson will score higher than Heath. One thing I've noticed when attending Port games this year is that Stevenson is always looking for his next disposal. I don't think a 70-ish average is out of the question for him. Heath, on the other hand, focuses more on defensive play and only really goes and gets the ball when he has to.

Is Heath a certain starter for you guys (as certain as supporters can be at this time of year)?

I am convinced on, and have locked in, Pittard and Stevo. With docherty (bris) not looking a good option I am looking to fill this void.

Currently have Heath and can see him being a 55-60 ave which is ok as a D8 IF he gets a solid run of 6-8 games up front.

Is he comfortably entrenched in your back 6 based on preseason form and round 1 availability?

If he is named round 1, is there anyone who would be close to taking his spot?

Would 55-60 be a fair expectation or is he likely to be forced to be even more lock down than that?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Im thinking he is the better option than the 40k dearer Vlaustin if thats true. You guys will certainly have a very new look backline (and team in general!)

Couple of others who interest me while im here...

Mitchell: worries me a bit. Had been sold but shaky JS and potential tagging roles are tempting me to go Kommer if named unvested Friday. Where do you see him fitting in, reliable enough?

Neade: seems best of a bad bunch up forward. Whats his JS or chance of avoiding the vest? Seems obvious vest candidate but does he fill a void up forward that may see him get full games in the 1st month? OR could fitness be an issue there also

As a crows supporter I am kind of disturbed by the number of Power players currently in my squad (6, hartlett so tempting to make it 7!). Especially with only 1 crow (crouch)!

Potential breakout so much as becoming an AFL standard ruck yes. However will share a lot of the duties with Redden and Renouf when fit. The coaches have said before they are looking forward to have a three pronged ruck set up to work with which will dilute time and scoring opportunities for our rucks.

Another general question about red and green vests. Cheers for any views on the chances of the following guys playing and getting the green or red vest:
- Mitchell- Avoid. Looks like he might be tagging and probably not best 22, So if playing will likely be sub
- Stevenson-may be vested one or two times.
- Pittard- has the best job security in my opinon of these players
- Colquhoun-similar positon to mitchell probably not best 22, so if plays may be vested
- Pittard
- Heath-will play lockdown so unlikely to be subbed
- Neade-definitely will be sub through the year as offers speed and impact.

Travis Boak in for a big year? He's had a great pre-season and it looks like he will show improvement. An i would expect around 100-105, but his price is really awkward.

What about Broadbent, Hartlett, Monfries and Moore?
-hartlett has had a great preseason and likely to play mid for the whole season.Avg 95+
-Broadbent's price is really awkard so wouldn't touch him plus may off the Half foward.
-Moore's job security isn't that high so its a miss
-Monfries should go to 80-85 scores but it might not be worth it.

Which of the following should I strongly consider for my SC team (Gray, Heath, Mitchell, Neade, Pittard, Stevenson & Wines)?
-Would look to uprgrade to Gray later in the year when he's had a few games under his belt
-Heath will play lockdown role but his job security looks good
-Mitchell may tag and the vest
-Neade should play around 10 games
-Pittard and Stevenson look to be the best defense picks, can see them averaging in the 70's
-Wines also looks good will play 18-22 games and has the abillity to get the contested ball and clearences

Yea was trying to put my supercoach team together at lunch today and think I'll be going with Kommer as well. Mitchell will score 80 one week running through the middle and 30 the next as a fwd tagger or sub.

Hartletts a must. Don't worry too much about having too many power players early on. At least 2 or 3 of the cheapies will have big starts to the year with the weak draw.

He has to be a solid chance, his biggest threats are probably Gray and Hitchcock who are both recovering from injury.

also, hows robbie gray? lock to play round 1? clearly best 22 if fit i think but not 100% sure if he is and if he will play round 1

Neither look good mate, at this stage both are unlikely to start round one, might be downgrade targets later in the year.

If you're looking for another rookie defender Jasper Pittard's your man. He will play and should score quite well. For rookie mids it's hard to go past Ollie Wines. He's had a great preseason and will probably start round 1 in the centre square.

Redden's the number one ruckman, he's rated really highly by the coaches, and will play every game if he stays fit. Will win a lot of hitouts so he'll never score poorly expect 65-80 every week.

Lobbe will play as a 2nd ruck and ocasional forward and probably has the best scoring potential but not necessarily the best job security.

Renouf has been injured all preseason. Looks to have come good now but it'll be a while before he's considered for selection. He'd need to be at his absolute best to dislodge Redden now anyway.

For SC, Stevenson or Heath? I think Stevenson will be the better scorer but am worried he is suspect to being a sub. It's for a bench spot for job security is probably more critical than scoring capacity. I want one of these guys to be like Steve Morris was last year, just consistent games.
