A bit embarrassing as I'm a Blues fan but without Fox Footy I had no interest in the NAB Cup.

Kreuzer's surely going to be the number one ruck this year, right?

Hendo still as a defender?

How is Laids tracking?

Is Kane Lucas a good mid price option? And lastly, what has Yarran's role been in the NAB Cup. Attacking, defensive? Worthy of SC selection?

Correct. A fully fit Kreuzer is magnificent to watch, I'd forgotten just how good he can be. For mine he is our number 1 ruckman and comfortably so.

Predominantly yes but don't be surprised to see him up forward at times throughout the course of the season. Has been very rusty as he missed a fair chunk of the preseason but he'll work his way back into it.

Played VFL last weekend but was in the seniors for all games prior. He was an enormous loss last season and we're a better team for him being there. He's fit which is an enormous plus.

Lucas is one who has had a very good preseason and has really put his hand up for a senior spot. Will play round 1, whether he keeps his spot remains to be seen but don't be surprised to see him become a regular. May well be worth a look in but personally I think there are better options available. Can't read too much into Yaz's preseason - has been average but in truth he doesn't get out of 5th gear until the real stuff starts.

Have never started Kreuzer before but have had a strong gut feeling about him this last week. Feel he will be the highest scoring ruckman priced under 540k. What is the consensus among Blues fans? Is a 100-108 average prediction on the mark? Or is 95-100 more realistic?

A good finish to last year followed up by a good pre season definitely has my attention.

I second the Kreuzer question, have him as a 'value' premium ruck in DT.

Also, Mitch Robinson. Will he get the odd tagging job? I don't see him improving his scoring too much, but have him in the side as someone to maintain their scoring and be 90+. Thoughts on his role/scoring?

Kreuzer will be fine even when warnock is in the team as kruze can run through as an extra midfielder. as for Mitch. he will score well even when tagging. which is not likely very much this year

question regards to second choice rucks at carlton. i drafted kruezer in my draft but looking to handcuff his back up as my spare ruck. Is it hampson or warnock? i cant tell based on discussions in your megathread of best 22 (seems to be alot of hampson haters out there) but both are available to me on the free agency wire. whos got the better job security? thats what im looking for, not necessarily who will score higher in SC

This is not an easy question to answer at all. Indeed the answer is as unclear to you as it is to all of us. Personally I believe that Hampson is the better option for 2nd ruck because he's significantly better up forward and can provide an option around the ground. Warnock on the other hand has almost never shown an ability to impact the game in any other position other than in the centre circle. For that reason I think we'll be going with Hampson but there are many who believe the opposite to be correct.

I think the guys that played in the VFL arent a chance to play against Richmond and maybe those that didnt have more chance or were injured not ready to play VFL.

Or maybe those that played, that played limited time might play round 1.

I just dont think it would happen under MM where someone plays a full game saturday or sunday in VFL than plays a full game thursday for carlton - too much load/stress

I'm a regular Northern Blues watcher and Menzel played only the second half against a very weakened Collingwood side and looks quite some time away from being fit enough to play AFL.

Warnock's VFL performances have lacked intensity and there were half hearted efforts in marking contests that won't see him play ahead of Kreuzer or Hampson any time soon.

One from the VFL team to put in your fantasy sports black book is Jarryd Cachia who is bottom price I believe. Tom Bell is value at his price in dream team, but not as good as Lucas who is more likely to get a game.

With Rowe rumoured to be named tonight for tomorrows game, it has him in contention for a bench spot for my DT.

My concern is if he is named whether it is an indication of his place in your best 22 or is he simple there for cover while Waite (or anyone else) is out.

How secure would you see his position IF named tonight and how long until Waite is expected back in (and would his return likely see Rowe on the sidelines)

Thanks

Condolences on the close loss. Could someone put Andrew Walker's role change against Richmond in context and the impact on SC? Malthouse is playing him off half back with time in the middle and he got most of his ball in the back half? Walker was never a player I associated with the required endurance or the vision/ability to make the right choice every time coming out of defense. and I'm not completely familiar with his skill base outside of being an acrobatic high forward.

Any information would be great.

Thanks in advance

Disregard,
Just saw the thread dedicated to this question.

Will Robbo likely see more fwd time and less mid time given Hampson and Betts have now joined Waite on the sidelines? I realise he is a mid-sized fwd, whereas the injured guys are talls and a small, but the goals have got to come from somewhere...

I missed the first half of the game against the Tigers so don't know if he had much mid time to begin with (I presume he did).
