He's due. We all thought last year was the year, but injuries curbed that a little. Should have a great year.

Don't you hate last minute changes to your team. I decided to put Cox forward because the forwards are shiesse this year. Then needed a replacement. Im still not convinced with Jacobs, but if you are happy with him I'm happy i guess.
(but then again, why would I believe a comedian with crappy jokes)

Good question. Last year it was a bit of a game of 2 halves for Rory. Before the bye, he averaged 23.9 touches, 5.6 tackles and a goal every 2 games. After it, 20.3, 3.2 and a goal a game. In footy terms, it's not a massive drop in numbers so as fans we weren't complaining, but his DT average dropped by about 15 points.

The question is what he will produce this year.

While most put it down to fatigue, I think (and I have been shouted down on this board over this) his decrease in numbers was due to a change in role, where he was moved more outside. I think this is supported by his drop in tackle numbers and him kicking more goals in the second half of the year. So far this pre-season it has appeared to me that he has continued to play a more outside role, and his form has been solid but unspectacular.

I wouldn't be expecting a big breakout from him in terms of numbers. I think the most likely scenario is for him to fall somewhere between his early and late season production last year and average 90 DT. Best case scenario is probably 100 average, but I think it's unlikely.

Didn't sloaney have a few injury interupted pre-seaons when he joined the club? Maybe he's been a year or so behind in the 'number of pre-season' base required to hit his straps.

I know lots have asked about Brown guys but seeing as he's named can you enlighten me to his value in comparison to Stevenson of Port who has been in my team for weeks now.

Brown from here on in should be best 22. When Smith and maybe tambling return to the side i can see Otten and Jaensch giving way most likely at this stage, but form could change everything. Brown will be a solid pick but nothing fancy. will play week in and week out and will probably average around 65 imo which is still not bad for a defender. With smith out they may look to go to him a bit more out of defence cos of his brilliant kicking skills so he may get a fair bit of in the first few rounds.

I would expect stevenson to average more than brown, but his JS might not be as solid. Tbh i think both of them are solid picks and im starting with both.

No idea about what to do with Crouch though :\

Sorry to intrude guys.. But i was finalizing my SC team, and noticed sam kerridge was only $115,000. I'm thinking of putting him in , and was wondering if he'll see much game time this year?

Assuming you mean Matty Wright, yes, the general perception is that he will average around 90. I wouldn't expect him to score over 100 week in week out though. He isn't a terrible option for your dream team, and he's pretty good value

Hey guys, just wondering what happened to Cam Ellis-Yolmen? He looked like he could really play in the nab games he played and has just seemed to disappear.

He's a 2nd year player. He showed a bit in the pre-season games, but is still a long way back in the pecking order (probably around the 30th ranked player on our list at present). Expect to see him be given a couple of games later in the season if he continues to perform, the usual "taster to see what the top level is like". Until then, he'll be spending the majority of his time playing in the SANFL.
