That is a terrible trade. Adams in a star. Thats like saying Suckling and 17 for Ollie Wines.

I would have thought that's fairly equitable if suckling didn't do his knee.

His value would be much lower now coming off a knee reco

NORTH MELBOURNE:
Free Agents:
Dale Thomas
Eddie Betts
If we were going to go for any free agents these two would be it
Trade:
Liam Anthoney shows he is a ball magnet at AFL level, if he had a better kick would be a very good player, think he might look for more opportunities and i think we could get something alright for him.
Levi greenwood will look for more opportunities and can play at AFL level but, what we get for him is another question.
Luke Delaney is in the same boat.
Lachie Hansen (someone offer us something good, take him) He has improved but if we get offered something fair we should take it.
Trade In:
GWS homesick youngsters with potential.
Trade to get another high picks so we can get luke mcdoanld lower in the draft.
Young out of favour high draft picks who could fill a spot or be a depth player to come in. (some potential)

Not possible. Father/Son bidding is done before trade week. You'll be using your first pick.

maybe your first round pick?

I guess it depends where we finish. I would rather us have a go at Mike Pyke over Mumford honestly. I'm a big fan of Pyke.

I don't think Collingwood will give another first rounder away for a ruckman either. If Mumford was offered to Collingwood, you would probably get offered a second rounder + a fringe player unless we have a compo pick laying around, which could be traded for someone like Mumford.

And you would be laughed at.

A few guys struggling to break into North's 22 who may seek a move: Liam Anthony (WA), Dan Currie, Levi Greenwood (SA), and Luke Delaney. I'd suggest Anthony may warrant a third rounder, the rest 4th at best.

Would GWS show an interest in Currie? Clearly AFL standard.

Are you sure about that??

Apologies, my javascript thingy doesn't seem to be working, meaning I can't use the "reply" feature. This is in reference to the Motlop hypothetical, I agree. Jed Lamb+1st rounder wouldn't cut it, I'd imagine we'd need a higher 1st rounder (presuming we finish top 4) somewhere in the range of 7-15. Or if someone of the likes of Luke Parker wanted to go home. I'd imagine a swap would be fair, indeed.

why trade of Parks?? his been fantastic!! would rather him than Motlop anyday!!!!

If that fringe player couldnt make your side, probably wont make ours... It would be same as jolly trade (1st rounder) or decent player.. would love someone like seedsman!

From the limited sample we've seen I'd suggest he is capable of playing AFL.

have to somewhat disagree.. if a club is relying on Dan as a first choice ruckmen then you can count them out from ever winning a premiership! still pretty young, but what ive seen of him, (not sure if he magically improved from his swans days also, will admit have not seen him too much this year for the roos) but he just cant cut it with the best.. All the best to him though

As would I, I'm not suggesting trading Parker either, not at all. Simply stating what it would cost us to obtain Motlop.

yeh thats true... i do see his name bantered around this forum a lot though! by us, and opposition supporters which i find incredible! his going nowhere! (i hope)

Would Adelaide be keen to trade Luke Thompson to St.Kilda at the end of the year.. I'm pretty sure he is still in contract but with Shaw and Hartigan put on the list recently, as well as the development of Otten, what could the Saints offer to get him across?

Luke Thompson was only drafted at 107 in 2010 so obviously won't be expecting much for him and with only 14 games in three season as I assume he'd struggle to get many this season if any even with good form at SANFL level. But a pick around 50 to 60 I think would get him over back to Victoria. But then those picks also depend on how much the Crows value him...

Hasn't been much talk about the Crows as of yet...

Little bit about Otten, Smith and Talia as far as they're considered I'd say all won't be going anywhere any time soon. As for Smith being an SA boy doubt he'd go even though he grew up supporting Port.

Players to trade though in my opinion for us we need draft picks

Tambling - Has played very few games in his three season as a crow so might as well part ways in my opinion and try get a 3rd or 4th round pick at best for him.

Johncock - Although has only played 2 or 3 games thus far in 2013 I still think he deserves a spot but I doubt he'll get one though, has been dominating in the SANFL as a Full Forward, another SA boy but may leave for his last few years, slightly higher than Tambling I'd imagine but only a few picks higher still a late third rounder or fourth at best.

Shaun McKernan - Been a regular ever since Walker did his ACL and has been quite serviceable and definitely would be in most teams 22 I'd imagine, maybe a St Kilda, Carlton or Western Bulldogs would rather him over most though as mainly a forward then a third or at worse second ruck. Probably mid second round pick at best I'd imagine maybe a little higher if lucky.

For the Carlton fans, what would you see as a fair trade for Yarran just out of curiosity?

If we dropped any more things would get interesting. We have a tough 2nd half of the year.
GWS and Melbourne are zero chance to bid on him. Not a fit for the Saints or Dogs. Brisbane would be the only chance to bid on him IMO. Differnt if we improve our position but as it stands it is not a certanity that the 5 teams below us would bid on him. Simialr to Viney last year.

Quality is quality. They'll make you use it
