No club has had the chance to pick him up yet. The draft hasn't happened. We didn't nominate him and therefore we gave no one the chance to bid.

There are two lists, and therefore two drafts. Clubs haven't even had one option of getting him onto their list yet.
Yes I realise this, but what I'm saying is it should be the same nomination process, and if nobody bids on him the club would automatically get the option of rookie listing him or placing him on the main list.

That is the day you have activate the pick (or pass) and confirm whether you are taking him. The date you have to nominate him was October 4th.
Yes, post #51 article confirms that Collingwood did nominate him as a potential father son selection on the 4th October.

Oh think I get what you are saying - are you saying there should be a second bidding process for the rookie draft, rather than automatic preselection?

Nah I mean with the current FS bidding process for the main list, at the moment if no opposition teams bid for the player that team can use their last pick in the draft to select the player. What I'm proposing is that if no opposition teams make any bids, then the team could choose to place the player on the senior or rookie list (as no other team thinks they're worthy of senior selection already).

So for example with Kelly, the Pies would nominate him under the current FS rules, and if no team placed a bid the Pies could either use their last pick for the senior list or place him on the rookie list.

Okay, I get your concept. And it makes sense. IF Collingwood nominated him, and IF no one bid, then we should be able to place him on either list.

Again, though (and I know you get this) but in the Kelly instance, no team has had the chance to bid yet, so we don't know whether they think he is senior list quality or not.

First VFL training session, who did 71 eat before training?

I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure it's Ben Hudson (number 71) . He is one of development coaches after all and will most likely be in the VFL leadership group you'd assume. It's best he meets his team mates early on.

Having a look at him. I can't say 100% it's him but there is a Chance it is him

But when they turn around to head back up the ground, he will be in the lead.

Oh, so he's one of those players the scouts describe as having a "football brain".

Think its great having Maxwell and Harry helping out in the magoos

Out of curiosity what is it that O'Brien has done that has seen you develop the complex that you have towards him? Literally every thread that O'Brien's name pops up in there's a negative comment from you regarding him.

Just a bit of an odd way to support for mine...

Ben Kearns (Gipps Power) will play with your VFL side if he isn't drafted next Thursday night.

Thanks for Info Mate.

What kind of Player is he?

Sounds like a Rookie Possible Pick?

or Even Pick 67?;)

Pick 67 gone with the recruitment of Armstrong.

There's been a few current VFL players linked to us, add another one now.

@PaulAmy375: Strong mail around that Collingwood is considering Sandringham's Myke Cook as a rookie. Would follow its 2012 strategy of taking VFL players
