So Knightmare has us taking Lamb at 19 and McKenzie at 28. Just can't see that after getting Jaksch and Jones in trades. Especially perplexed when he has Garlett at 20, then rates Garlett a high level difference maker and Lamb a capable contributor. We desperately need that outside pace, run and carry.

Very interesting seeing these phantom drafts as they are updated with the new order. Has Ahern at 7 incidentally, and has Laverde to the Pies at 5. Does that make people feel any better about our trade if that happens?

You can't reach too far into possibilities and have to assess in the now.
Getting Jaksch and Whiley into the club the way we did whilst still keeping ourselves in the first round was a win.
If Petracca somehow falls to #7, it may be worthy of revisiting.

We'll get ourselves a good player at #19 along with #28.
If they make best 22 then great and if not, it will mean our best 22 is good enough anyway. :)

Interesting though is Paiges draft also has us taking Keitel at 28 before a small forward with our next. Are there any young rucks we could rookie?
Why would we want to rookie a young ruck who will need 3-4 years to develop, we have knockers, Wood and Kruezar am happy with that.

I must admit I would be stoked with those picks. Mainly because I don't rate Jones or Watson and at best can only see Casboult being a handy third tall/resting ruck. Also Lamb runs like a midfielder so I could see him playing on a wing noworries and could create mismatches when he pushes forward

Saints rumoured to take McKenzie at 21 hence why taking Petracca with number 1. I hope do get McKenzie at 19 as I'm not sold of Liam Jones maybe I'm being harsh

Any one of Ellis, Garlett or Cockatto for 19 and maybe Ed Langdon or Dear for 28.
Speed and silky class play makers with good vision and ability and one tall with plenty to offer.
Go Blues

Lamb was talked up as a possible top 7 pick earlier this season. Doesn't he have "Bont" like attributes? (Height, frame, midfield ability)

Don't all the good players have massive chips on there shoulders?

How many of our picks are we likely to use on ND with rookie upgrades, psd for Tutt, etc

It's still a little tricky until we know the outcome of the 4 boys that are still uncontracted.
We're saying 4 selections in the ND and one in the PSD

If we move off any more than 2 of Robinson, Ellard, Lucas and McLean, we'll have to upgrade rookies and pick up the rest of the numbers in the RD.

That's why it seems to me that someone will survive and it could well be Lucas.

Robinson and McLean are gone.
Ellard and Lucas will be retained.

Lucas can't believe his luck.

Can only hope he lends himself 100% to the fitness guys and the coaches.
He's a much better player than what we've seen in recent years. It's hard to convince people though for that to be the case.

Wonder how long before someone starts up a "Should we retain McLean" thread? :)

I don't think we'll pick him if he's there. Doesn't fit Rogers' policy.

I won't pretend to know the kids but it was quite obvious even for the few games I saw just how much love the likes of Moore and Miller had.
Even Lever carried an aura about him and he didn't even play.......... :)

You have to wonder though we would reach for McKenzie now, given our plans for Boyd have gone.
