I won't pretend to know the kids but it was quite obvious even for the few games I saw just how much love the likes of Moore and Miller had.
Even Lever carried an aura about him and he didn't even play.......... :)

You have to wonder though we would reach for McKenzie now, given our plans for Boyd have gone.
Given Rogers said he's off to visit and chat to the schools of some of these kids and see what their teachers think etc - think that rules Lamb out automatically.

Would love for us to get Lamb @ 19 (he will be next years Bont), Garlett @ 28 (he has great outside speed among other things and we can give him #38) and Kietel @ 61 (if he's still there)

Is there any footage of McKenzie?

Conflicting comments about him.. some say he'll go late first round whilst others have him in the 3rd round.
Joined the AFL system late so he's raw but his stats will impress recruiters. His physical traits will only help him along the way.

All comes down to how he interviews and his personality traits that make him a 1st/2nd rounder or late prospect.

I thought he just had on-field attitude problems?
Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else but didn't he get expelled from school this year? Word is he might be better off going to an interstate team.

19. Ellis/Menadue
28. Miller/Blakely
61.KPP

I dont think our need for KPP is overly desperate now, forward line is young enough. Backline getting there but have 2 guys coming through, Giles n now Jaksch.

Rookie a ruck
Tutt in the PSD

Yes he got expelled, not sure if it was this year but he did definately get expelled from one of Melbournes prestigious private schools and pretty sure it was only after being there a couple of months. Im pretty sure it was Hailebury

He could definatley be this years Bontempelli, however with his apparent attitude problems he could also be a bust. I think the Jared Brennan comparisons are correct in both football ability and the fact that both can appear like they dont care.

He will have to interview well in my opinion, or a football department will have to back their strong culture to change his attitude.

Im all for him tho as said previously he is rated as a top 10 talent and could be anything.

Yep I just found an article with him. It says he left Haileybury after a short time because he didn't like it. I'm sure the recruiters know the true story - whatever it is.

Rogers said he will be speaking to teachers, friends and parents - if there is something to find out about any of the draftees he will. If stories are right about Lamb I doubt we'll be taking him.

I doubt we'd pass on Garlett if he was available at 19. I'd be even more bewildered if we took Lamb at 19 if Garlett was available.
Would lamb be available at 28 then? Which clubs between 19 and 28 would want to snap him up? I accept that there is some risk with Lamb's attitude problems there is definite upside and reward

He could end up being the best of the lot. He does have a bit of Fyfe about him with his size (192cm), contested marking ability, and his endurance (best at draft camp). He can play as a Key Forward and also through the middle. If he became a full time onballer with his size jesus look out.

Imagine Cripps (194cm), Lamb (193cm), Bell (187cm), Whiley (188cm)

Now thats scary

Imagine Crippa tackling a guy like Lewy Taylor - the little fella wouldn't stand a chance! :p:D

Draft smokey Lamb remains his toughest critic

BITTERLY disappointed with his national under-18 championships, Tom Lamb was desperate to make a splash at the recent NAB AFL Draft Combine.

By his own admission, the agile 193cm big man had failed to put his best foot forward when he lined up for Vic Country.

A Lamb to the slaughter
The Lamb lies down on Broadway
Tom copped a Lamb..asting
Lamb shanked....the ball
Lamb or Heeney?
