Yeah i'm not going to be annoyed if we don't go tall if someone like Weller is there. We need the KPF, but we could also use someone with his pace and kick.
That said I had a dream that we picked an unknown 160cm midget with our first. Although I also had an unlimited supply of cocaine in said dream so make of it what you will.

I'm calling it - we'll overlook Durdin. We never pick the person the Freo board talks about most with our 1st rounder.
Mate that watches a lot of sanfl, reckons Durdin not that good, a lot of hype, imo he will be there at 13 & we will take the best mid.
Yeah in my completely worthless opinion it's foolish to speculate picking him up because he physically resembles Justin Westoff, so what.. There's been a lot of kids that have and a lot of them were shit. Nothing i've read about this kid screams talent. Agreed, he'll be there at 13 and we'll overlook him for somebody better.
When I think Durdin, I think Gorringe, do not want. Obviously not in playing style, but unfulfilled potential.

I'm glad more than one person doesn't see what all the hype is about. I especially worry when his year has been quiet and his best game that all the draft experts talk about, was played in the ruck. A position that he won't be able to play at AFL level.

It was interesting that Emma Quayle in her write up said there is a big range of opinion about his worth, from top 5 all the way through to not being drafted! That's the nature of being a young tall I guess.

Yeh or like liam McBean to tigers , mason shaw both in the 2012 draft 2nd round picks & neither have played a senior game yet. Freo took Tabener & Moller om the rookie list, tabs older heavier quicker, it takes time, where as appness big already should happen quicker.
Ps not certain on Peter wright, if there would be very temping but don't take grabs like apenes imo. Still get the hunch we will go mid, which probably means we will go tall because I no FA.
Mason Shaw won't amount to anything, but McBean by all accounts will be very good for the Tiges. He has some stiff competition there but he'll play a few games in 2015 ahead of some household names, so my Richmond mod mate tells me.

No doubt, Westhoff took a long time to come good too even by KPP standards. Physically resembling him isn't really a good thing either is it? Tony Notte resembles him too.
I wouldn't think anybody would really care what the Doggies do, as they don't have a pick until the 2nd round don't they??

I would expect our recruiting team would list 60 odd players and then cross off the list, when a player is selected. They might change the order depending on our first pick.

If we miss on Durbin because he physically resembles Westhoff I will spew. Surely a 17 y.o. is allowed to look like Westhoff! Anyway if we think he is the best option I am sure we will take him - refer to exhibit A: Alex Pearce
Im pretty sure you follow the draft pretty closely yakka. Who do you think we should draft with our first pick? I still like the look of Goddard after watching highlight clips of most of the contenders for our first pick.

Goddard looks like he could be a Harry Taylor type player. I would be happy with him. Unless Peter Wright slips to our pick I would be more than happy if we went for a classy player or player with speed. Would love Lachie Weller, Duggan could also be good. Garlett should be looked at also.
The key position players don't really excite me this year but I haven't seen enough of them.
To me Weller reminds of a young Ryan Griffin.
