You could do a lot worse than Renouf as a rookie ruck pick. Premiership player yet has never been a number 1 ruckman, so would have no real expectation to play ahead of Grundy and Witts.

Judd - Carlton in box seat with low draft picks & Kennedy, plus the Visy deal, we had no chance
Stevens - Port insisted on a Didak swap, we refused, no trade, went to Carlton in draft (he nominated Pies)
Stevie J - our choice, he failed a medical ?? We said no
Locket - yes we screwed that one up, board out voting due to $$ ?
 
Beams to Lions
Pick 4 & Lions Player to Saints
Pick 1 & 24 to Pies
28 & Lumumba to North
Greenwood to Pies

So we lose Beams and Lumumba

Gain Greenwood and draft Petracca, Moore, Duggan and hoping Lonie/McLean available still at 45

Saints have 2 quality young ruckman in hickey and longer. Just like us with witts and grundy they wouldnt want to stall their development

I honestly think with this bombers saga and of hird gets sackes and bomber leaves I think we could have a real good crack at pouching some high caliber players.
What's anyone else thoughts.
Some of the players would wanna jump off a sinking ship.
Thoughts??

Matthew Panos - pretty good skills and can be a 2nd or 3rd fwd with the ability to play mid - similar to Gunston (but def not the same quality)

played as a big bodied mid at norwood this year, not as aforward. if he got back into the afl it would be as a midfielder. had his chance as a forward and failed

It would be nice if we could somehow get Pick 1 and Dangerfield!
But if you had to choose would you take Petracca OR Dangerfield??
I would take Petracca - 10 year + player who can come straight in.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but if a star player were available in the trade period who would you consider to be untouchable on our list?

My list:

Pendlebury, Cloke, Witts, Grundy, Reid, Elliot.

Only jokes, but how do we know Petracca is a ready made 10 year player? At least we know what we'll get with Danger. Draft players regardless of where they are taken all pose some risk so I'm on the known ready made player Dangerfield ship

Majority of people on here would say that Langy would be untouchable. Which i agree.
You cant ignore the fact he was picked in the 4th round on the draft, almost played every game this year and done a stellar job.
The kid is going to be a star. Do not want to lose him.
