I have heard recently that Hawthorn and Dylan Shiel have been speaking. How reliable that is I do not know, but personally I think he would be a great pick up
How would we make that happen?
A first rounder plus 2 b-graders?

i like the prospect, but hard to see it happening. Wrighty is up to his old tricks though. If we could get Anderson for Stephen Gilham then i reckon we could get Shiel for a bottle of gatorade and a half eaten pie.

They are definitely on the hunt, I heard they had tried with a gold coast mid last year, but got knocked back.
I was devo.. and so was his mum. Lol.
But it is good to know they are chasing...

Yeah, it is hard to see it happening, but stranger things have happened! As you said, anything can happen in the hands of Wrighty. Pure rumour though at this stage I would have thought, but still fingers crossed!

From memory Whitfield is a massive Hawks supporter. It would take a lot to get him, but with a good offer on the table he would definitely say yes and it would be a matter for GWS to get something worthwhile in return.

The club have been pretty successful over the last few years in acquiring our targets for pick downgrades. The Lake deal was a corker because we got our man and only dropped 7 places in the draft order(as well as a later pick).
The Gunston deal played played simaliarily a few years back.

Tom Mitchell from Sydney
Dad is returning to Victoria
Looking to get traded at years end back to Vic
Hawks told if no fuss was made over the Buddy deal.................;)

Actually walked passed his dad in the AFL members yesterday as he was heading up to the top deck - presumably for scouting purposes.
I think we would be chasing better than Tom Mitchell

There would be a certain poetry in turning Tom Mitchell into a star.

But the commentators wouldn't be able to cope.

Wouldn't be against trying to use free agency and keep our draft picks. If would could acquire something like Frawley + Rosa via FA (which I think we could afford), then take best mids available with each pick.
