It's interesting for that reason alone.
I think Suckling is an elite kick, in isolation.Don't be so sure.
The single biggest myth in football is that Suckling is an elite kick. He is a long kick but his accuracy is no better than good/average and his decision making is often poor. As stated above, Suckling also struggles defensively. In my view he is absolutely tradeable.
My reply was relevant to the conversation (maybe not thread title) when I read it - I had no idea of the conversation that ensued for 2 more pages following as that, from a thread perspective, was the future.you are stinking up the off season targets thread with pots on sucko again.......
not many free agents out there that improve their disposal efficiency under pressure. can you name one?
I would take Tom Mitchell in a heartbeat he is a seriously good young player and I think will go onto great things. He didn't seem to have any issue adjusting to AFL level in his first year, and am not entirely unsure why he is languishing in the seconds presently... hell he recently got a 64 touch 4 goal haul in the seconds which is obscene!
I actually laughed out aloud when I read another Suckling post in this thread. I had to check the title three times!I would actually like to see suckers play as a half forward.
Police still interviewing him from his repeated assaults against Reiwoldt a few weeks back. f he wore Brown & Gold he'd have given away 40 free kicks & been suspended for for 6 weeks. And he looks like Will Minson's straight haired brother. Is Will Minson free?Steven May from Gold Coast hasn't yet re-signed, with negotiations hitting a stumbling block, according to the HeraldSun!

Interested. Very interested. We can pay what he is worth...Steven May from Gold Coast hasn't yet re-signed, with negotiations hitting a stumbling block, according to the HeraldSun!

Only if we throw in Lowden for free as wellHow about we use suckling in a trade for him.
and a classic swap of picksOnly if we throw in Lowden for free as well
Schoey will be the steak knives in the deal. But I fear without schoey and suckling who will we blame for losses and poor performances?
very sharp stuff there RM
Every single Pies player is worth a top10 pick, whether through compensation picks from the AFL or on the trade table. The more I see of Collingwood's Josh Thomas the more I'd like our recruiting department to target him as that inside mid we crave. He is borderline best 22-24 in Collingwood's side and with the promise of more permanent midfield time at Hawthorn I wonder if he'd be gettable. The Pies would no doubt ask quite a bit in return though.
Just one of a few young mids I've been watching in hope that we may be able to attract to our club.

Agree wholeheartedly. But what does work in our favour is Pies have been consistently leaking players since Bucks came on board. They will no doubt leak a few more at seasons' end. The amount paid for all these previous Buck jumpers looks high until you factor in that they all took place during heavily compromised drafts.... They overvalue their players beyond belief.
