He may not be overly damaging but he rarely wastes it, it's just that his wasteful ones look really bad.

He's a good player, disagree wholeheartedly.

North still have Wells to put into that midfield and Wells is better than Stanton. Wells would squeeze out Jacobs, i would think.

Wright plays in the backline, Bastinac in the ressies, Boomer hasn't played on the ball for about 5 years.....Jacobs has been the best tagger in the game this year....

Swallow is streets ahead. They have similar ability, I'll grant you that, but Swallow is not the pea heart Stanton is and is a tackling and contested ball winning machine.

He's on a similar level to Gibson. Both are fit but slow outside players who can't kick. Stanton would be on significantly more coin than Gibson who is the coaches pet.

So no, he wouldn't get into Norths side.

cant compare Stanton and Swallow - two different players, Stanton is an outside player, while Swallow is an inside midfielder.
Swallow>Wells>Wright>Gibson>>>Stanton>>>>>Bastinac

I assume that you believe that Watson and Heppell would be Norths best mids, Daniher our best forward and Hooker, Carlisle and Hurley are certain starters......why is your team so very very bad, if your players are so amazing? How did north make a prelim despite having such a terrible midfield?
