Well he's no Koby "the steak" Stevens, but I've heard Sam Kekovich is a huge fan.
Meh, hes mutton to write home about......i could get roasted for that....but what do ewe think?

Does he show any signs of improving or was he just a poor selection?

From what I have seen, he shows a bit but I dont think he has the ability to move into the midfield at AFL level. Gets named a lot in the best players in the NEAFL, but its the NEAFL.

If he makes it as an AFL player, it will be as a small forward I reckon. He probably would have played more at GWS but players like R.Palmer, D.Smith, T.Greene were ahead of him as the small forward, in addition to the GWS midfield where players like Treloar/Ward pushed forward to kick a few goals.

Amazing where Geelong are finding all these picks and salary cap room from!

Geelong have got the Cap room because they have already made list changes involving players who were on big $$$$

Johnson, Kelly, Macintosh were all on +400k Rivers 300k Stokes 250k Hartman 100k Blease 100k

That was so baaaad, you ought to feel really sheepish. In any case don't let them pull the wool over your eyes. If Jed is keen to move I'm sure other clubs will flock to the opportunity and GWS will shepherd the deal too.

Reckon Stokes and Rivers were on at least the AFL average $330k
Average salary is about $270k. Don't forget all players who leave at a minimum have to be replaced with recruits on 50-100k depending on games played. By the way Macintosh did well to get $400k if that figure is correct.
You should have enough money to squeeze Danger and Hendo into your cap.

With the veterans rule, ~100k for each of Johnson, Kelly and stokes would of been outside the cap. Potentially more depending on the amount of 10 year players.

So that's 300k less to spend.

Yep, not looking good for the Pies. Sidebottom, Freeman, Kennedy, Witts and Oxley all want out.

What is going on at the Pies?
Witts said he didn't want to be traded. So he is staying. Sidebottom is rubbish. And the others struggled to get a game. You should focus on keeping your players.

and all that will go to Dangerfield before you even consider Henderson and all the other players that have been linked to them

Except it was spot on.

Redden did request a trade to West Coast.

I was querying the source of "basically agreed terms" from a couple of weeks ago. Schwab did say a couple of days ago that West Coast's first rounder was the requirement for Redden to go there. Clearly West Coast didn't offer too much resistance to that requirement for a contracted player and the deal was done. Pick 17 is better than the likely Band 2 (pick 19-20) or Band 3 compensatory pick Brisbane would have received at the end of 2016.

Eagles are pretty good with that, no hassle deals, player is contracted so we know the value and just get it done.
