Okay so I don't know him personally, but I am from the same area as Sidebottom, who belongs to a prominent local family, and as many of you from small country areas know, rumours get around. I'd be very surprised if this rumour was true. The latest scuttlebutt doing the rounds up in the GV is that Sidebottom was happy with the Pies, and that he was looking to start contract negotiations if they haven't started already to extend his contract beyond next year.

Like I said, I don't have any insider information, but that's the latest I've heard from his hometown area.

Not much. He was a huge contract for his output ~350k. He plays well in the NEAFL, but could easily just be a VFL level player.

If you take his contract, reckon pick 50/60+ If GWS pay some of his contract, may need to pay more.

That's what I think from watching the neafl and seeing him play a fair bit.

He's the highest paid player in the NEAFL.

Had to laugh. A bloke who can't get a game at the 2 clubs he's been at, is in a position to narrow down his next club of choice. Obviously other NEAFL clubs had enquired about his services.
