This week I am playing the guy at the bottom of my league who has given up already for some reason. Ablett is still his captain and he has a bunch of players who won't be playing anytime soon. What is your strategy against people like that? Do you just stand pat and take a free win or shuffle the deck to try and get as big a percentage booster as you can?
Go for percentage, just don't use trades to do it.

I'm in the same boat. Scored about 500 points more than my next best opponent overall, and just under 3000 more than the bottom placer.
This week I'm playing the bottom placer :)

Seconded, kind of - only use trades if you see cows or rebounding premos to hop on.

Can anyone confirm if it's the top 32,768 teams for overall score at the end of Rd5 or the top 32,768 team scores from just Rd5 ?

Supercoach Cup - The last person standing in Round 23 wins a 2015 model Nissan NP300 Navara together with accessories, valued at up to $50,000 (inc GST)

  • Each eligible entry will receive a ranking based on their team score at the completion of Round 5;
  • Each team in the top 16,384 entries will be matched up against another team in the next 16,384 entries based on their rankings;
  • In Round 6, these teams will be matched up and play 'head-to-head' against one another, the winner being the team that scores the most points for the round;
  • The winning teams proceed to the next round, losing teams are eliminated and take no further part in the SuperCoach Cup competition;
  • The process is repeated with all remaining teams for the remainder of the season (except for the multi-bye Rounds 11, 12 and 13, which will be skipped), until there are 2 teams remaining in Round 23. The higher scoring of the two teams in Round 23 will be crowned the SuperCoach Cup winner;

You'd think they could at least get the note for the highest scoring player right.

I don't think the person/people that write them really care and spend more than a minute doing it

since we're getting into it , that typo ;)

Hi all... in previous years players have sometimes had their positions changed or DPP added due to their role with their AFL side.

Is there any indication of if/when this may happen, or is it totally case by case? Apologies if it's been covered elsewhere.

Eg. Would be pretty handy if Robbie Tarrant was made a defender.

In other fantasy games yes, not in SC I think

I question whether the first week of byes should involve any trading at all as you're not going to be able to avoid trading around the byes during that first week.
I had to re-read that about 4 times to understand it, but you're right. Anyone you trade in during the first week of byes will miss during one of the next two weeks. Very short sighted

yeah I know, just mucking around
0-3-3, then 2 (Selwood and Ward/Treloar ;))

Never happened in SC.

Never happened in SC.

Technically, it happened once, but that might have been prior to Rd1 when Blicavs started as a Mid only, then had a Ruck DP added on to become the only ever M/R. But that was due to a stuff up, as no one really knew what position a steeple chaser would play since he had only played 4 VFL games & under 13s. I guess VS just assumed indurance athlete=midfielder. But yeh, it will never happen during the season. At least I hope it never does. AFL Fantasy is no better for it, and positional changes mid season another reason why I'm not playing that abomination of a game this year.
