Looking for 3 tickets (missed on silver ballot). If by some miracle they drop from the heavens into someone's hands PM me please!
 
My mate has a ticket in the Ponsford stand but wants to be able to get together with friends at the Punt rd end. He has been offered a trade of his ticket for a ticket in the AFL Members. Can he use this ticket to get in and then meet up with us at the Punt rd end or will he be stuck in the AFL Members?

from what I've seen, he won't be able to even get into the AFL members (unless he is an AFL member himself). I asked the MCG if I would be able to go and see my family who are in Q4, even though I'm in Q28 and they said I'd be able to scan out of one gate and into another. it would be worth checking if that is also possible when crossing from Ponsford to Southern

He will have a ticket for standing in M16 if he does the trade. We better check details with MCC staff before we go ahead with the trade.

I've found asking a question of the MCG through Twitter often works well. There's been a few unscrupulous guys on here and elsewhere who have been trying to flog AFL members tickets without being upfront. I wouldn't negotiate with them on principle.

Normally you can scan in and out of the AFL Members area within the stadium on the concourse at the back of the seats.
Not sure about GF day though, I've never been in there for GF day. Normally the publish info saying whether crossover to the public reserve is allowed, but the webpage doesn't mention it this week.

If you are checking with staff and you mention that you are swapping for an AFL member ticket they may mention that it is strictly against the AFL member rules. You may get asked for AFL membership card and id when entering the ground if using an AFL member ticket. Best to just ask whether crossover into the public reserve is allowed from AFL members reserve.

Someone else mentioned that staff told them they can scan out of one gate and in at another gate at the other end of the ground to see their family.
I'm not sure this will work. I tried to scan into the Southern Stand (gate 5) at the 2012 GF with a Ponsford ticket (gate 1) and it wouldn't let me. Have they changed it since then?
 
Anyone have any single tickets standing or sitting for sale? Have s brother who hasn't been able to get his hands on one.

I have the same problem so tweeted the official MCG account and they said that i will be able to scan in at the southern stand using my ponsford stand ticket, as long as your entering the public seating gates.
 
If anyone has four tickets they want to downgrade, let me know and I'll pay the difference. Stuck in the nosebleeds in row FF. Happy to sit anywhere else.
 
I got tickets in the end by chatting to a guy at the pub Friday night who happened to have tickets but as he was a Freo supporter he wasn't that keen, I said I'll take 'em he said sure.
